"Why were they even bullying these kids?" Nakamura asked, and we all stared at the two for any answers. Feeling a little comfortable with us, they brought out a pack of cards from a popular deck-building game.
"They were trying to trade our cards for theirs, but they were all bad," he said meekly.
"No way, is that a Super Dekamaru?" Kobayashi quickly closed in and crouched down, staring at his card. "And that's the fade version. How on earth did you get your hands on these?"
"We got it in a pack my dad got us," the other kids said. He held up another card of the exact same character, but his image was doing a different move.
"That's insane! You both are crazy lucky for getting both of these. I thought they stopped making these ones," Kobayashi said excitedly. "I used to collect them as a kid, too. I have his previous evolution and the shadow form, but not this one. Keep it safe with you and never give it to anyone. Ya hear me?"
