Elijah and Gale saw the torn off tree tops, and close to it was a tied up Kristin who is being lessoned by the guards.
"Now you should never use any magic that powerful. This is just target practice for Datu's sake!" The guard said in a raised voice.
Kristin just grunted and this in turn pissed the guard, Finch placed a hand on the guards shoulder, "That's enough Kish, go back to your post, I'll handle things from here," Finch said.
Kish hump and left annoyed while everyone watch him disappear onto the trees, Finch sighed and faced Kristin, "Get your friends, we need to talk," he said.
Kristin just "hmmp" and Finch left shortly after ignoring the rude gesture Kristin made while saying something to Alex.
Elijah then walk towards the group, "Hey Alex!" He waved a hand, "What Finch said to you?" Elijah asked.
"Nothing trivial, just saying that we watch over Kristin so she doesn't destroy the whole village," Alex explained.
Elijah just shrugged it off and went to greet the others, "Het guys look what I caught!" He exclaimed and showed the deer he caught earlier, "Pretty impressive huh?" He boast as the deer carcass swung onto his shoulder.
"Quick let's skin it before the meat turns bad," He said as he waved the others to follow suit.
The other just followed except for Kristin, she's been tasked by Finch to clean up the mess and help with the repair of the damage she caused.
While Kristin grumpily helped with the warriors clean up, Gale led the others to the slaughter house to prepare the deer and rabbits for cooking.
Elijah didn't wait single second as he quickly grabbed a cleaver and began removing the organs of the deer; intestines, stomach, liver, lungs and heart.
The others couldn't stomach the gross view so the girls and Alex left Elijah to it alone with Gale who supervises him and his techniques, "You're pretty good with this," she complimented.
"Thank you, I learned from my dad," Elijah answered.
"Your dad must be a great warrior," Gale complimented again.
"You could say that," Elijah said, "He's the best I could ever ask..." His voice trailed away and his cleaving slowed significantly.
Gale also covered her mouth saying, "I'm so sorry."
"Nah it's ok," Elijah said, "You're not the first to ask me that."
"Look I really am sorry," Gale apologized again.
"I SAID ITS OK!" Elijah shouted as small bolts of lightning danced around his body, his eyes filled with rage and sadness.
Gale didn't speak any longer and just stared at the ground while Elijah continued to cut the deer to cookable pieces.
After an hour later Elijah went outside to hang the meat to dry and left it for the day.
"Hey Elijah, you might want to guard this meat strips and chunks, it's very common for people to steal a few chunks every now and then here," Gale warned him.
"Oh is that so, then I'm just gonna sit tight here, you can go to the others since I'm just gonna sit here probably experimenting with my magic." Elijah said shooing Gale away.
"Ok ok, I can walk on my own, geez," Gale said and walked away. While walking towards the others she thought 'experimenting with magic huh? Maybe I should see what they could do again since I watched them from the far away and only caught a glimpse of it last time.'
While lost in thought, she didn't notice that she went passed Alex's group and when she finally got out of her stupor and when she look around she realized she's on a different platform and crossed a bridge.
"Hey what are you standing there for, follow me I want to see what your magic can do," Gale tried to cover up her embarrassment that she passed Alex's group.
The others just shrugged it off and followed Gale.

Sorry for nor posting a few months for those who just got into reading my novel, I have been busy with my end semester and we are currently moving out so it made it impossible to write new chapters.
I will return to 1 chapter a week from now on because we just finished moving and finally have the time to write new chapters
