At Emma's birthday party,
Emma was busy celebrating her birthday with her friends when her mother Evelyn received a phone call. it was a call from Emma's father Ethan. Ethan was in his black car on his way home while being driven by his driver. Ethan was almost at the birthday party so he decided to call Evelyn with the intention of informing her of his arrival. He wanted to surprise them because he knew that they were going to be happy.Ethan called Evelyn and at the second ring Evelyn answered the phone. Hi darling, Ethan said from the other line. Ethan! Evelyn exclaimed excitedly. Ethan when will you be back? Emma is waiting for you, Evelyn pouted. Baby I'm almost there, you know what give the phone to our princess and put in on loud speaker. Okay, Evelyn said and went to getEmma. Emma!Evelyn called, come here baby daddy's on the line. Emma was playing with her best friend May when her mother called. As soon as she heard the voice of her mother, she left May and ran straight to her.Mommy! Mommy, I am coming! Emma ran excitedly to her mom. Mommy,you called. Yes, Emma come and talk to your daddy. Is daddy on the phone? Emma asked excitedly. Yes and he wants to speak to you. Evelyn said and passing the phone to Emma.
Emma took the phone from Evelyn and said"hello daddy."
Ethan"hello baby doll,how is my beautiful princess doing on her birthday?"
Emma"I am fine daddy, daddy you know I got a lot of presents today and May gave me a present as well."
Ethan"well in that case it seems like my baby doll dosen't need me to give her presents."
Emma"No daddy you must give me presents,you will get me a lot of presents right?"
Ethan"Of course baby. No matter how many presents my baby gets,daddy will always give her presents."
Emma"Yay! Daddy will get me presents, by the way daddy when are you coming? I have been waiting for you all day but you haven't arrived."
Ethan ,"Oh sweetheart. I am almost there. just go to the balcony with your mother and look outside."
Evelyn heard what Ethan said to Emma so she held Emma by the hand and ran to the balcony almost immediately . They both stood at the balcony trying to figure out what Ethan was talking about when Emma spotted a black car.
"Mommy look!"Emma said and pointed her little finger towards Ethan's car.
Evelyn followed Emma's gaze and then she saw the approaching car but at that moment, a rogue vampire jumped on top of the car and went into the car through the car's sun roof. Just then, they heard Ethan's terrified screams the car lost control and began moving in circles. It crashed into a tree and tumbled multiple times which ended in a large explosion.
"ETHAN! !! !!!"
Evelyn screamed as she flew off the balcony transforming into her werewolf self in an attempt to save her husband.
Evelyn ran in search of the car but when she finally found it, it was already too late. The car was badly burnt and Ethan didn't survived. The accident was so severe that no one could have survived such a crash.Evelyn changed back to her normal self as she cried uncontrollably. The guests at the party and saw what happened rushed towards Evelyn with a blanket to cover her up.(A/N whenever werewolves transform they always end up naked when they transform back to their human form).
Meanwhile,
At the balcony of the building where Emma was, Emma saw everything that happened and was in utter shock.She was completely frozen and was traumatised at what she just witnessed.
She became completely numb. She stared silently at her naked mom and her father's burning car. It was evident to her of what just happened, she couldn't believe it,refused to believe it. Her little brain refused to accept what she just saw. Her dad?!
She won't see him anymore, She would never be able to see and touch him again. She would never be able to give him forehead kisses, she won't be able to give him hugs and above all,she would never get her presents.
Evelyn wailed uncontrollably at her husband's death.She was cried loudly yelling Ethan's name.
"ETHAN! ETHAN!"
Evelyn wailed. She couldn't believe what just happened. Everything happened in the twinkle of an eye. At one moment she was on the phone with her husband and the next he was fine, never to be seen or heard from again. "WHY!" She cried out. "Why did it have to be him? Why! Why!"Evelyn cried out. "Why did fate have to be so cruel?
Why!" Evelyn wailed miserably.
"I told him not to go,i told him to stay, I begged him to stay,i pleaded with him," Evelyn uttered repeatedly.
Flashback,
"Babe do you really have to go?" Evelyn questioned worriedly . She was on a picnic with her husband and child when her husband received a disturbing call telling him that he was needed back at the barracks . He was told to return to immediately because there was an emergency. Ethan rushed into the house and began packing his bags. Evelyn who was with Ethan when he received the call suddenly became worried.
She wasn't worried about the phone call cause it was a normal thing that happens often where military personnels were often called for some sort of emergency and it was no different for her husband plus it's not the first time it's happening so it was nothing new. But something just didn't seem right this time, she had a gnawing feeling about this trip. She tried to stop him because she wasn't having a very good feeling about this.She didn't know why but she felt that if she dosen't stop him she won't be able to see him again. She really tried her best to convince Ethan to stay but he didn't listen to her.Instead he just said,"Everything was going to be fine" and then he left.
