"Elder brother."

Sif called out as she stood beside Heimdall, her expression still filled with anger and unwillingness.

"I was about to kill this fellow."

Her voice carried a faint trace of frustration. She had already been prepared to fight Jack to the end, but Heimdall's sudden appearance had interrupted her.

Jack turned his head and looked toward the approaching figure.

Heimdall was wearing magnificent golden armor that covered his powerful body. In his hand, he carried a sturdy golden-black sword that reflected the sunlight with a cold metallic glow. His tall figure and calm expression gave him an imposing presence. As the Guardian God of Asgard and the guardian of the Bifrost, Heimdall possessed an aura that made even the surrounding Asgardian warriors instinctively respect him.

Jack looked at him carefully for a moment before suddenly smiling.

"Originally, you are Heimdall. Actually, I am somewhat curious. Why is Sif's skin so white, but you are actually black? You really don't look like brother and sister."

Jane, standing nearby, almost couldn't hold back her laughter.

Even in front of an Asgardian god, Jack could somehow find something completely unrelated to the situation to say.

Heimdall's expression remained calm, showing no obvious anger.

"Jack, let go of my younger sister. This is our matter. It does not need you to manage."

"Elder brother, let's kill this fellow together!"

Sif immediately shouted.

She still remembered the humiliation Jack had caused her, and the anger in her heart had not diminished in the slightest. If anything, seeing Jack's relaxed smile only made her more irritated.

Jack raised an eyebrow.

"But wouldn't this make the whole family your enemy? Brother-in-law, you said it yourself, right?"

Sif's face instantly became red with anger.

Heimdall looked at Jack steadily.

"You and I are not family. Sif is not your family either. Odin's order is that we cannot provoke or retaliate against Jack. Therefore, I cannot kill him with you, but you cannot kill him either."

"But elder brother, this fellow…"

Sif wanted to continue arguing, but Heimdall interrupted her.

"Odin's order applies to me as well. I will only carry it out. Sif, you are not his opponent. Do not continue fighting him. Otherwise, you will bring disaster to Asgard. Jack, let go of my younger sister."

Jack looked at Heimdall for several seconds.

Then he nodded.

"Since you said it like this, this face must be given."

Jack loosened his hold on Sif.

Sif immediately backed away several steps. She quickly moved to Heimdall's side and glared at Jack, her eyes filled with unwillingness.

"Jack, do not consider this finished like this."

Jack smiled.

"Of course. Take your time."

Heimdall looked toward Sif.

"Let us go."

He turned around and walked toward the distant street.

Sif remained unwilling to leave. She looked back at Jack several times before finally following behind Heimdall.

Even as she walked away, her expression remained cold.

Jane watched the siblings disappear into the distance before turning toward Jack.

"Who is that guy?"

"Heimdall," Jack answered casually. "Guardian God in Norse mythology, the god who guards the gate. One of the important gods of the Aesir."

Jane nodded slowly.

"He looks pretty fierce. Sif has such an elder brother, so it won't be easy for you to deal with her."

"Don't worry. This matter needs to be taken slowly. You cannot eat hot tofu impatiently."

Jack waved his hand confidently.

There was no trace of nervousness on his face. To him, Sif's refusal was merely a temporary obstacle. He had already decided that if he wanted something, he would eventually find a way to obtain it.

Jane smiled.

"Good. This is a rare experience in life, after all."

She looked around again.

The magnificent streets of Asgard, the towering golden buildings, the distant palaces, and the strange beauty of this divine realm were things she had only been able to imagine before. Now she was actually standing here.

Jack nodded.

"Indeed, it is a rare experience. We must do something immoral."

Jane blinked.

"Immoral?"

"Like this."

Jack suddenly reached out and pulled Jane into his arms.

Before she could react, he lowered his head and kissed her on the lips.

"Wu—wu, wu—wu…"

Jane's eyes widened.

She immediately pushed against his chest, but Jack did not seem to care about her resistance. After a moment, he finally released her.

Jane's face was flushed.

She glared at him.

"You really are shameless."

Jack simply smiled.

For him, being in Asgard was an opportunity to enjoy himself. He had already caused enough trouble in the Nine Realms, so there was no reason not to enjoy the scenery and the company of Jane while he was here.

Sif's Residence

Inside Sif's residence, the atmosphere was considerably heavier.

Thor, Sif, Volstagg, Fandral, and Hogun were gathered together.

Nobody was joking.

Everyone's expression was unusually serious.

The decision Odin had made was clearly difficult for them to accept.

Thor clenched his fists.

"Royal Father actually did not investigate that fellow and simply let him go like this. I really cannot understand it. I cannot endure it."

Sif's fists tightened as well.

"He is right. Even killing that fellow ten thousand times would not be enough to make up for his sins."

Her voice was filled with hatred.

She could still remember Jack's arrogance, the destruction he had caused, and the humiliation she herself had suffered because of him.

Fandral shook his head.

"The God King wants to reduce the casualties and disaster. He does not want more people to die because of this. Even if we fight Jack, the Tesseract is in Jack's hands. If he wants to leave, he can simply leave."

Thor immediately became angry.

"Does that mean we should consider everything finished like this? How can it be considered finished?"

Volstagg sighed.

"What else can we do? That fellow is too powerful. Even if all of us attack him together, we are not his opponents."

Thor fell silent.

That was the most frustrating part.

He knew it.

Everyone here knew it.

Jack's strength was simply too overwhelming.

"Hateful."

Hogun remained calm.

"The powerful person will have a weakness. So long as we know his weakness, we can certainly defeat him."

Thor looked at him.

"What you said is just empty talk. How can we know the weakness of that fellow?"

Fandral slowly looked toward Sif.

"Perhaps there is some way to discover his weakness."

Sif frowned.

"Why are you looking at me?"

Fandral hesitated before speaking.

"To know the weakness of that fellow, Sif, you must make a sacrifice."

Thor's eyes suddenly brightened.

"Fandral, you mean to let Sif marry Jack, then find out Jack's weakness?"

Fandral nodded slightly.

"That is what I mean. That fellow does not want to marry Sif. If Sif agrees…"

Sif immediately shook her head.

"This is impossible. Absolutely impossible. I am absolutely impossible to marry that fellow. I wish I could find a way to kill him."

Her voice was firm and decisive.

Volstagg looked uncomfortable.

"Indeed, this would be asking too much of Sif. We cannot do this."

Hogun also nodded.

Fandral smiled awkwardly.

"I was only making a suggestion. Sif, do not take it seriously."

The group continued discussing the matter, but after a long time, they still could not reach any useful conclusion.

Eventually, everyone left Sif's residence.

The room became quiet.

Sif remained alone.

The anger that had supported her until now slowly turned into exhaustion.

She sat silently for a long time.

"Jack, I will certainly not let you off. Hateful."

She clenched her fists.

"But the difference in power between me and that fellow is too great. Is there really no way to defeat him?"

Her mind returned to the earlier battle.

She had attacked Jack with everything she had, yet he had effortlessly avoided every strike. Even when she thought she had forced him into a difficult position, Jack had broken her sword with his bare hand.

The difference between them was like the distance between heaven and earth.

Sif lowered her head.

"Must find his weakness. The weakness, the weakness…"

Fandral's words suddenly appeared in her mind.

Marry Jack.

Then discover his weakness.

Sif's brows slowly furrowed.

"Is this the only method?"

She remained silent for a long time.

Her pride rejected the idea.

Everything inside her rejected it.

But when she thought of Asgard, of the destruction that had already happened, and of the possibility that Jack could become an even greater threat in the future, her expression gradually became firm.

"If this is the only method…"

Sif took a deep breath.

"Then the mistake I need to make up for can be sacrificed for Asgard."

Her fingers slowly tightened.

"For Asgard, there must be sacrifices. Fine. Let me undertake it."

"What are you going to undertake?"

A voice suddenly came from behind her.

Sif's complexion changed instantly.

She turned around.

"Jack."

Jack stood there with Jane in his arms, wearing his usual shameless smile.

"Don't be excited. Otherwise, you will cause trouble."

Sif stared at him.

"What did you come here for?"

Jack smiled casually.

"Jane and I don't have a place to take a bath. I remembered that you have a large bathing pool here, so I did not mind coming here to use it."

A powerful wave of embarrassment and anger flashed through Sif's eyes.

She remembered the previous incident when Jack had peeked at her while she was bathing.

She gritted her teeth.

"You can use it, but you are not allowed to. Only she can."

Jack shrugged.

"Doesn't matter. Men can be a little dirty; it is nothing. Jane, you wash. Wash well over there."

He pointed toward the bathing pool.

Jane gave Jack a supercilious look.

"I knew it. Do not come and peek."

"Feel relieved. I definitely will not peek, because I am an upright and honest man."

Jack smiled evilly.

"Pervert."

Jane walked away toward the bathing pool.

Soon, only Jack and Sif remained.

The room suddenly felt much quieter.

Sif's heart tightened.

She wondered whether Jack had heard the words she had spoken to herself earlier.

Trying to appear calm, she asked,

"When did you come?"

"Just now."

Jack looked at her with a smile.

"Considered my marriage proposal? Do not flatly refuse. This hurts the will of the people very much."

Sif's expression became extremely complicated.

She looked at Jack silently.

The man in front of her was the person she hated most, yet she had just made a decision that could completely change her life.

For Asgard.

For the sake of discovering his weakness.

For the sake of preventing another disaster.

Sif slowly raised her head.

Her expression became calm and unemotional, hiding the turmoil inside her heart.

"I considered it."

She paused for a moment.

"I agreed to marry you."
