But that damn Ron was elusive, and he had spies everywhere. In fact, Victor Morgan had been secretly arranging for people to find him all along.
But every time they were close to a lead, it would be cut off. He knew Ron was behind it all.
Landon Ellison replied helplessly, "We understand exactly how you feel. Vera has given so much over the past two months, only to have someone sabotage everything and push things this far. We're furious too."
"Mr. Morgan, my wife and I have discussed it. We will definitely help you get her back. Our company will stand with her, through thick and thin."
Mrs. Ellison's declaration was a great comfort to Victor Morgan, though he felt it on Vera's behalf.
If Vera could hear this, she would be so relieved. Things weren't turning out as she had feared; everything was moving in a positive direction.
Victor Morgan hoped things would continue to move in the right direction so he could find Vera as soon as possible.
