'There's a deeper meaning to his words,' she thought. Ron wasn't the type to patiently wait for her, nor would he typically force her into anything.
But his actions this time were so baffling that Vera couldn't fathom what he was planning.
If he simply wanted her, he wouldn't have gone to such great lengths. 'Is he taking me to meet someone?' It was a puzzle Vera couldn't solve.
"Brother Ron, there's really no need for all these pleasantries between us. As for what you're planning to do, let me be clear, just as I was before: if you intend to use me to do something despicable, you've completely miscalculated."
Ron smiled nonchalantly, spreading his arms to feel the crisp sea breeze. His gaze softened with affection as he looked at Vera.
"Vera, I can give you the same life he can. You should really try to change. Of course, if you're unwilling to change, then I'll just have to be the one to change you."
