Right now, Vera wanted to dedicate more of her time to her children and to caring for Ian Lockwood. In her spare time, she also had to teach Mrs. Ellison.
Vera needed to refocus all her energy on her family, especially Chloe Warner. She had to make sure Chloe could socialize with children her own age.
