Vera Warner knew perfectly well why Gordon Morgan had called her in. All she could do was face the situation as calmly as possible.
Half an hour later, Vera removed the acupuncture needles. "Mr. Morgan, are you feeling any better?" she asked. "You've been emotionally unstable lately, which has caused your blood pressure to rise. You need to try and control your emotions."
Gordon Morgan retorted, "And whose fault is that? If you weren't here, I wouldn't be on edge all day. Maybe you should consider leaving the Morgan family."
Vera sighed, packing up her equipment. "It's no use blaming me, Mr. Morgan," she said helplessly. "I made my position clear from the start. I'll do anything else you ask, but leaving Victor is non-negotiable."
Gordon Morgan sighed as well. "If that's how it is, then I suppose you'll be the death of me."
