Vera watched as the clone knocked on the door repeatedly, calling out to Victor Morgan, but there was no response from inside.
The clone was clearly worried, and even Vera couldn't understand it. If she were in the clone's shoes, she would have already burst into the bathroom.
"Victor, why aren't you answering? Did something happen to you in there? If you don't make a sound, I'm going to have to break the door down."
'Vera' was clearly frantic. Since knocking yielded no response, her only option was to ram the door.
When she finally broke the door open, she found Victor Morgan asleep in the tub. It was a false alarm.
She walked over, patted Victor Morgan on the shoulder, and called out softly, "Victor, wake up. Did you fall asleep because you were too tired?"
Victor Morgan groggily opened his eyes. When he saw her, a charming smile spread across his face—a smile so full of affection it made her heart skip a beat.
