As noon approached, Alice Robinson came down from the second floor...
"Rachel, Rachel..."
The servant saw Alice looking for her daughter and rushed forward, "Miss, Aunt PA took missy to play in the garden..."
Upon hearing this, Alice breathed a sigh of relief, "When Aunt PA returns, tell her I'm taking Rachel out for lunch."
"Okay, Miss."
Alice turned around intending to leave when a rather unfriendly, indifferent voice reached her ears, "Really so busy that you haven't spent any time with the child all morning?"
When Alice was going downstairs, she had noticed Chester Robinson sitting on the sofa reading a financial newspaper... She thought both would ignore each other, but she did not expect him to actively speak to her.
She wouldn't try to please him anymore, but she also wouldn't deliberately make enemies with him. However, he always spoke so harshly.
