Paris.
It's noon, and the sun is blazing overhead.
The black Bentley outside the airport stands out, drawing attention.
Alice Robinson pauses, and the Bentley drives towards her.
The driver quickly gets out and opens the rear door, and Claud Laurence steps out of the car.
Alice is startled for a moment, but Claud is already in front of her, embracing her deeply.
Alice leans on Claud's shoulder, her purse falling to the ground.
Only after a long while does Claud release her, his handsome face showing a gentle smile. "Are you tired?"
"I'm okay, I caught some sleep on the plane."
Claud wraps an arm around Alice's shoulder, "I told Aunt PA you'd arrive at noon. They're waiting at home to have lunch with you!"
Alice nods.
Claud helps Alice into the car.
The car speeds along the airport's ring road, everything retreating backward. Watching this scene, Alice speaks apologetically, "I'm sorry, Claud... making you rush back to deal with Rachel's matter, in the end..."
