Claud Laurence slightly furrowed his brow, looking at her pale face, and asked gently, "What's wrong?"
"I'm sorry, I..." Alice Robinson lowered her head, unsure of how to explain to him.
A doubt arose in Claud Laurence's heart. After all, they had kissed before, but she had never reacted so strongly.
Unwilling to give in to suspicion, Claud Laurence assumed Alice's shyness stemmed from the driver being present in the car, so he smiled without saying much.
Alice's body was stiff, not knowing how to face him, she finally turned to look out the window.
As Alice stepped into the villa, a cute and innocent little figure dashed towards her.
"Mommy!"
Alice crouched down, unable to suppress her longing as she embraced her daughter who rushed into her arms, "Rachel."
Rachel wore a pink floral dress and had her hair styled like a princess, looking very sweet and adorable.
Alice couldn't help but plant several kisses on her daughter's youthful cheeks, "Sweetheart, Mommy missed you…"
