"Are you sure this is a good idea?"
It looked like everyone came to the beach today.
Not that I blamed them. It's the perfect weather for it.
It was a surprise when Bailey said we weren't doing any tests today and that we should go for a drive.
Just the four of us. Me, her, Penelope, and Ivan.
"It's a public place and there's so many people we'll be fine," Bailey looked different in her shorts and tank top. Nothing like the doctor from earlier. "There's some free space over there where we'll be out of the way."
"What about my heat?" I hadn't been around so many people since the day at the clinic. "What if I… trigger everyone?"
"You won't. The suppressant is working and you've got the daily dose. Besides, you would've affected everyone in the territory before we got here if it wasn't working and I wouldn't have suggested coming."
"Good point," it still didn't make me feel better. "So, this is nice and all, but why are we here?"
