Dark clouds churned in the distance. Chester Sawyer zipped through the neon-lit city on his electric scooter, stopping in front of a barbecue restaurant half an hour later.
Ethan Bauer and his three friends had been waiting for a while.
They were a little surprised to see him on an electric scooter.
"Sorry I'm late."
Chester Sawyer parked the scooter, propping it up with one leg. He took off his helmet and casually ran a hand through his hair.
'I may be riding my little scooter, but I've got to look the part!'
"We were just early. Let's go," Ethan Bauer said, giving him a mysterious smile.
"Chase, I thought you'd roll up in a sports car. I didn't expect you to be so down-to-earth..." one of them teased.
Ethan Bauer feigned a kick at the guy. "What the hell do you know? Our Chase here is just being low-key. A true master hides in plain sight."
