Inside the bar's private room
When Ethan Bauer returned, the atmosphere had grown even more tense.
Flynn, in particular, was glaring viciously at Chester Sawyer, as if he wanted to skin him alive.
"Did you handle it?" Chester Sawyer leaned over and whispered.
Ethan Bauer nodded. "You can count on me. By the way, what did you do while I was gone? The atmosphere feels a little off."
"I called them the dogs Mindy Caldwell hired, and they demanded an apology. You know me, I'm a flexible guy, so I apologized. But what do you know? They still wanted to hit me."
Ethan Bauer knew Chester Sawyer all too well. 'Him, apologize?'
"What exactly did you say when you apologized?"
"All they know are the same few curse words and threats. Unlike them, I quoted a famous scholar."
Ethan Bauer felt a headache coming on.
