"I framed you? Where's the proof?"
After Sydney Sawyer spoke, the lights in the private room suddenly flared to life.
The dim, flickering ambiance was replaced by incandescent light, illuminating her face. She tugged at the corner of her mouth, a brazen and unrestrained smirk playing on her lips.
Her expression was languid and composed, radiating the calm confidence of someone in complete control.
Kiara Dillon's gaze met hers, and as she recalled their earlier conversation, a violent tremor ran through her. It was as if she had suddenly understood everything.
"It... it was you..." She whipped her head toward the police, pointing a trembling finger at Sydney Sawyer. "Officers, she's the one who set me up! It was her!"
The officers remained silent. Kiara Dillon suddenly looked at Andrea Wyatt, who was standing outside the door.
Tears clung to the corners of her eyes, giving her a frail and pitiful appearance.
"Andrea, she framed me, really... This stuff isn't mine."
