Caught completely off guard by the kick, Flynn's back slammed onto the ground. A sharp, twisting pain shot through his abdomen, so intense he could barely see straight.
But the police were hot on his heels. He couldn't even dwell on the pain; he scrambled to his feet, preparing to knock over the person in his way and continue running.
He never expected that, just as he brushed past, his arm would be suddenly grabbed.
"FUCK—"
Flynn gritted his teeth, about to curse out the oblivious bastard, when his arm was violently twisted behind him.
The man was incredibly strong. The sudden, overpowering force sent Flynn's face smashing into the wall. It felt as if his nose was about to shatter!
"I'm warning you, don't be a fucking busybody! Or else I'll make sure you regret it!" Flynn snarled.
The man, however, just chuckled softly.
"No one's ever dared to threaten me like that."
