After getting beaten, Chester Sawyer planned to resort to his old trick: packing his bags overnight to run away from home.
But just as he reached the door, a voice called out from behind him.
"Where are you off to so early?"
The voice alone was enough to scare the soul out of Chester Sawyer. He whipped his head around and forced a smile at Edwin Sawyer. "Dad? I was just going out to buy you and Mom some breakfast."
"It's not even dawn, and you're going to buy breakfast?" Edwin Sawyer scoffed. "Aren't you the dutiful son."
Chester Sawyer smiled sheepishly. "Isn't it one of our country's traditional virtues?"
"Drag that suitcase of yours and get back to your room!"
Edwin Sawyer suddenly exploded with a furious roar.
Clutching his suitcase, Chester Sawyer scurried back into his bedroom without a moment's hesitation.
