"Miss Sawyer, you're here to work out too?"
Henry Caldwell carried himself with an air of elitism, the very picture of a successful man.
"Yes. You're here to exercise too, Mr. Caldwell?"
Sydney Sawyer just offered a polite smile.
"Water? Don't you want some?" Henry Caldwell asked, still holding the bottle.
"Sorry, I don't drink cold beverages. Thanks, though." Sydney Sawyer picked up her own mineral water, twisted the cap open, and took a few sips.
She hadn't expected to run into Henry Caldwell here. She sized him up from the corner of her eye.
He was wearing a brand-name tracksuit and had even styled his hair. He didn't look like he was here to work out.
He looked more like he was here to...
'Show off and hit on girls!'
Though she'd rejected his offer of water, Henry Caldwell acted as if he didn't mind. After a few sentences of small talk, Sydney Sawyer resumed her run, and he decided to run alongside her.
