Chester Sawyer chattered on and on, giving Edwin Sawyer a headache.
'How did I end up with a little nag for a son?'
He waved him away, saying he wanted to go back to his room to rest, then added, "Don't tell your sister I'm not feeling well."
He was, of course, referring to Sydney Sawyer.
"Got it." Chester Sawyer reached out to take his arm, but Edwin Sawyer waved him off.
"I just have a bit of heatstroke. I'm fine now. I don't need any help; you're making it look like I'm seriously ill."
"You two should get some rest, too. Especially you, Lein, you have an interview tomorrow morning. Don't stay up late."
After Lana Lowe had given her instructions and made sure both kids had gone to their rooms, she returned to the bedroom. Edwin Sawyer was lying on the bed, clutching his chest and panting heavily.
"You feel this awful, yet you still insist on putting on a brave face for the kids."
