Just then, Timmy Lockwood must have heard Sydney Sawyer's voice, because he ran from his room out onto the balcony.
"MEOW—" He was small, light, and agile. With a single leap, he jumped onto the concrete partition between the balconies. His little body squeezed through the iron railing, and he scurried over to Sydney Sawyer's feet.
"How did you get over here?"
Sydney Sawyer bent down and scooped him up. The little guy's belly was round and full; who knows what he'd eaten tonight.
"Timmy." Sebastian Lockwood frowned.
Hearing Sebastian call his name in a low, stern voice, Timmy Lockwood lost his nerve and clung to Sydney Sawyer, refusing to leave her arms.
