Around nine in the evening, after her brother and mother had gone to bed, Bella Meyer checked the status of the door lock and heard a door opening from next door. She glanced through the peephole and saw Allen Sheldon emerging with an indifferent expression.
"Brother, after listening to you, I feel much better. Thank you for consoling me. I'll definitely pull myself together and go to work tomorrow." Her cousin looked grateful.
Allen Sheldon replied coldly, "Mm."
He only said three sentences: "Oh, you have guts now," "You're doing the right thing," "Be a good person."
The rest of the time, it was her cousin who kept talking.
He truly didn't know what he had consoled him about.
"Brother, be careful on the road and drive slowly," her cousin nagged.
"Mm." Allen Sheldon replied, and before stepping into the elevator, he turned his head to glance again at Bella Meyer's tightly closed door.
She was spying again.
