Victor Parker placed one hand on Polly Sutton's shoulder. "Your father's greatest wish is to enjoy his twilight years in peace. The Rook Family, to him and to your father, were tragedies, but what's past is past. Ensuring the old man enjoys his late years is more important than anything."
Polly Sutton nodded in agreement with Victor's words, "It's just a pity he can't be with Grandpa back here."
Victor hesitated for a moment, then pulled her into a tight embrace, "I'm sorry."
But Polly suddenly laughed, returning the hug, "Why are you saying sorry to me? It's not like you made your mother do that. Besides, your dad saved our family with his life, what's past is past."
The two people Victor selected were a couple in their forties or fifties. They have been in the domestic service industry for more than twenty years, and every family they served has praised them highly.
Polly explained the situation to them, "Let the old man do whatever he wants, but you must ensure his safety."
