"Once you're born, you can't just go back," Lucas Rook snapped at the words, how could a parent ever let go? Even if they let the child fend for themselves, it doesn't stop them from worrying, does it?
Lucas Rook's temper wasn't the best, most people probably couldn't stand it, but Benjamin Chu was an exception, as he was the one who spoiled him into it.
"Your anger is a bit unreasonable now, I'm trying to reassure you." Benjamin Chu pushed him outside and took the medicine from the butler, "They've all grown up. Apart from life-threatening situations, you and I shouldn't interfere in their affairs. And even with life-threatening matters, it's not necessarily within our capabilities to handle."
After surgery, Benjamin Chu was more aware than anyone that his health wasn't what it used to be; he couldn't do the things he used to do.
Reluctantly, Lucas Rook took the medicine.
