Victor Parker spent half the day taking a shower when he got home. Polly Sutton had to run his clothes through the washing machine several times before they were clean. Little Tommy ran far away when he saw his daddy, complaining that he smelled bad.
It was only after Victor finished his shower that little Tommy approached him, satisfied that he now smelled nice.
"Tommy, don't disturb Daddy while he's resting," Polly reminded her son as she hung clothes outside, worried that he would cause a ruckus and prevent Victor from resting.
Little Benny stayed by Polly's side, helping her hang clothes. "Mommy, what was he doing?"
Little Benny asked very seriously, his little eyebrows furrowing, as if pondering something significant.
"He went to save the world," Polly replied to Benny with a smile.
Little Benny pouted a bit, not quite believing his mom, but he could tell she was in a much better mood after daddy came back.
