Victor and Polly Sutton waited until noon before Jacob Black finished his work. Polly counted and found that a total of six women came for abortions. Both the women and Margaret Penny seemed numb to it all.
Jacob washed his hands and changed his clothes. After greeting Margaret, he picked up his bag and headed out, "Let's go, we can talk outside."
Victor and Polly followed Jacob out. Once they turned a street corner, they found themselves in a bustling city full of skyscrapers and traffic.
The three of them found a café and sat down. Jacob leaned back in his chair and looked at Victor, "I feel like I've seen you before."
"Victor." Victor introduced himself.
Jacob indeed seemed to understand, he clearly knew who this person was.
"President of Parker Corporation, the hottest young entrepreneur in City A. I heard of you a couple of years ago." Though it sounded like praise, Polly detected sarcasm in it.
Polly caught on to the tone, so did Victor, but he didn't care.
