The car drove into a cramped alley and couldn't go any further, otherwise it would block others from coming and going.
Polly Sutton and Victor Parker got out of the car, unable to hold back a frown, "This isn't the place I came to last time."
"He's been working around here lately. You won't find him anywhere else, but it's good you didn't come here before." Victor locked the car and took Polly's hand as they walked in.
This place seemed to be forgotten by the city—dilapidated tube-shaped buildings, narrow streets, unpleasant smells, and strange looks from the people around.
Victor agreed that it was fortunate Polly hadn't come here last time, or she would have surely had nightmares.
"What kind of place is this?" How could such a place exist in City A?
"Backflow Cove. Every city has one or two places that hide from the light. Most people here are lazy and slippery, unwilling to work hard, so they can only live cramped here and lament their unfair fate, barely scraping by."
