The want to run was strong. I wanted to be free. There was a pack meeting tonight; they wanted the kids to stay home for it this time. Usually, we also go to the meetings, something is up. It has been a month since I met April and all we do is have small talk. I want to ask her out but a part of me is scared. These feelings are surreal. Andy pieced it together. Jana found out I was ignoring her, so she started ignoring me. So, I cannot talk to her even if I want to.
I'm so confused. This crush is so intense. How can a crush make a person nervous?
Is it because of how much I like her? She is amazing. The kindest person I've ever met. Not only is she sweet but she's smart. She knows what makes other people happy and does her best to provide that for them. Her laugh is contagious, and when she talks about what she loves, it lights up my life.
My life. I can't believe I used to think that I would never get this chance at love; it was almost too good to be true. She is everything to me.
This crush. What will happen when she finds out the truth? Will she still want me? What happens when I tell her? Will I tell her? But even if she did want to be with me, would she still after she finds out what I am? I cried. I wish I didn't cry. I can't stand crying. I need to stop crying; I shouldn't waste over something as stupid as this. I shouldn't let these emotions get in the way of what's important in my life, my family. My love life.
There is no one in my world who could match April. I need someone who can help me cope with this new development. Who will support me through this complicated process? She is the perfect woman.
It's a Tuesday afternoon and I feel terrible. I don't know why or what is wrong with me today, but I guess it has to do with my crush in April. It's ridiculous, I just met her. I should not have feelings about anyone else, but here I am. A knock at my front door interrupted me from crying. I wiped the tears away and walked downstairs. Andy was knocking on the door. As soon as I opened the door. He barges in. "Thank goodness you are alive." I have been calling you all afternoon." I wiped my face again. "What's wrong?" He sat me down. "I feel different. I'm not attracted to boys. I thought something was wrong with me till April walked in my life. I like her a lot. I haven't felt this way before." I admitted. He hugged me. "Is this your way of coming out to me? Cause it's okay you are normal. You like girls, it's okay." I started to cry again. My parents came home to see us on the couch cuddling. Mother woke us up and sent Andy home. Father sat beside me. "We have a problem; vampires moved into our town. We are going to have to ask them to leave or fight them to the death." Dad said quietly. "Are you serious? That's awful, why do we have to fight them?" I asked him. "Because they'll end up hurting the innocent people of our town." He answered. "They haven't hurt anyone yet?" It came out like a question than a statement. "Not that we know of, but they have to be getting their blood from someone." I looked down and then gasped. The only people in town knew were April and her family. Don't tell me she's a vampire. I ran to my room, and I was hyperventilating, my breathing uncontrollable. Figures, the one time I start to believe in love it throws me a curveball. Wait, I still like her even though she is what she is. I must warn her to leave. I don't want her to die or get hurt. I couldn't sleep, so I stayed up worrying all night. Andy walked with me to school. I saw April and her sister walking ahead of us. It was now or never. I ran up to them leaving Andy to wonder what I'm doing. "April, can I talk to you it's kind of important?" She smiled as she nodded. We walked over to the park across from the school. "What did you want to talk about?" She smiled. Making me smile. No, I shook my head. "You and your family need to leave this town before there's trouble." Her smile disappeared. "I didn't think of you as a bigot." She said walking away. "What? Wait no, I didn't mean it that way." She stopped and glared. "How did you mean it?" I took a deep breath. "I know what you are." Her eyes widen. "I--" I cut her off. "It's okay. There are people here scared of your kind and want you to leave before they have to kill you." I admitted. "How do you know?" She asked. "Cause I am part of those people. I am a werewolf." Her eyes widen. "But I thought you were human," Her voice was shaky. "I was born this way. It is part of who I am." "Why are you warning me? Don't you get what I am?" She sneered. "Yes, but I know you. You are good in my eyes. Please talk to your family about unnecessary bloodshed and I don't want you to be hurt." I said truthfully. She smiled. "Thanks for the support." We went to school. I got an idea that might work.
