in the morning I woke up and saw geralt still sleeping, I went dow to the dining hall and ordered some food for me and snow white. a couple minutes later geralt came down and sat with me to eat.
as we were finished with our food, we went outside to see if this town had a notice board, and unfortunately it did not. since there was no written notices, we went to the docs and spoke with the manager.
we were told of a few drowners plaguing the area so we got rid of them, took our pay and left the docks it was currently afternoon, so we went to the market to check on things, I found a nice horse saddle and was tempted to buy it, until I realised I am stupid, I am a mage I could have put a few runes on the saddle to make it more comfortable.
we returned to the inn at night drank a little and slept ready for tomorrow night.
the next day we woke up did our usual and scouted the graveyard were the voices and people are disappearing in. after finishing up we just waited at the entrance till nightfall.
when night fell the fools started appearing they looked like and were almost as fast as wolves but they had rotten flesh all over them and semi humanoid shaped bodies.
I summoned my sword and geralt did the same, we proceeded to head inside of the graveyard, inside we stand close to each other backs to each other as we are getting surrounded by these guys, by my count there are 8 or so.
the first one kept towards geralt as he blocked it with his sword while I saw one runing towards me so I summoned a spear and planted its butt into the ground, using the force of the gouls charge to impale it without much effort.
geralt then dodges a little to the left and decapitates one of them. we proceeded to walk and parry attacks until they were standing in front of us and geralt used igni to light up most of them that were huddled in a group. seing geralts tacktick I create a gentle breeze of wind fanning the flames, killing 3 and injuring 2 heavily.
afterwards I summon icy temperatures in their vicinity killing one of the heavily injured ones and stunning the final 2 left. me and geralt take this opportunity killing the remaining two, one each.
after they were all dead I smile wile panting looked at geralt and said "pretty good fight wasn't it" he replied "yeh but you look like a dying mule" I just laugh it off and throw the corpses into the the sanctuary, we return to the mayor's house and claimed our reward and then slept in the inn till the next morning.
as we finished eating and exited the in 2 town guards came barging toward us and said "you are under arrest by order of the mayor" I got a bit angry here so I practically yelled " on what charge " at this point a lot of people were looking at us.
the guard with a high an mighty attitude says " for killing people who enter the graveyard at night " now I was super angry and geralt was as well "you fu*king payed us to kill the gouls and now you want to arrest us to take back the money we earned".
I punch the first guard knocking him out and geralt follows my lead with the second guy, I start walking with a crowd following us and geralt asks " were are you going the gate is the other side" when he said that I just say " we are not leaving ".
we came up to the mayor's mansion and knocked out the gard outside the gates, I stepped up to the gate and kicked it with some magic, making the doors get blown off , as we enter inside gards come charging at us and it took us a few minutes to knock them them out.
when we reach the front door I kick it in as well and went inside, i use magic to search the area and found the mayor huddled in a cellar close to the basement.
I go down toward the cellar and knock out the gards on the way, when I reach him he looked like a terrified cockroache hiding in the corner whispering "please dont kill me" I just smile and say " I am not gonna kill you, I just need you to say that you lied" the mayor was the biggest coward I have ever seen.
I go out of the house with the mayor walking behind me until we reach the crowd that was following us, there I yelled "SILENCE" and the entire crowd got silent " the mayor is here to rectify the charges put against us since we did nothing but kill the ghouls for a payment after he asked us ".
i tap the mayor and tell him to speak and he said "yes yes the guards went without my order and did this without my knowledge, everything the gards said was a lie, the witcher and his companion solved our villages trouble and got paid with hate, this is my fault".
I just smiled and said "no need to worry just didn't want our reputation being sh*t, we will also be leaving now"
as soon as I said that we walked in between the crowd as they made way for us to pass, when we reach the stable I took blaze and geralt took roach, we also left heading toward a new adventure that will hopefully turn out better than this one.
