dong! dong! a bell continues to ring waking everyone in the city.

"First this planet we're on, is a deserted planet without intelligent lifeforms but overpopulated with beasts, monster and all other type of unintelligent beings, so do not leave the confinement of the ring. Except you wanna die.
"And some of you should be wondering what on dragons wing happened to your planet right. well, I'll give you a summary, first, order was defeated and some powerful beings from some planet also died or at least lost. then portals were created linking different planets to others after that came the devouring system, the cause of all this chaos. you see with the devouring system, everyone you kill or even an unintelligent being kills, would devour something from their kill, either their soul to strengthen theirs or skill, strength, lifeforce or any other thing. with this even a Fish can grow into a Dragon.
Everyone, look at the left upright corner of your left eye now. due to the chaos, you might have not noticed it, or you overlooked it. try to concentrate your mind on it and yes that it's" she says seeing most of them acting surprise as a screen only they can see pops up.
Daniel a little shaken but immediately calms down, then examines the screen.

after briefing them she walks away escorted by the other soldiers.
she said we could learn magic and some other thing she called qi or something, this with something to protect myself I could finally find my family, mom, dad, Jane. having magic in mind he walks towards the old man she pointed at when talking about magic. she gets close to him with some other females and males from the other side.
after waiting for some time in silence the old man opens his eyes, "that's all, follow me."
he leads them into a bus getting in Daniel seats in silence close to the window as he looks outside as the bus moves. The city was peaceful, people of not just different color but different size, shape, height etc. walked the streets, all communicating together peacefully, then something popped in her mind if they were all from different planets with different culture race and so, how are we still speaking the same language, or wait a minute, Daniel recollects, all the people that had spoked to him. he could at least remember some, especially the pig, yes! he's lips where not in sync with what she heard.
"We are here! "The bus driver says as the old man walks out followed by everyone.
he leads them towards the second tallest building, also made of earth, I can't believe it, the outside had looked so primitive. it was literally made of mud, so how could it be such awe inspiring inside, she thinks as she walks in. the walls were made of some white metal, and large fluorescent disc was stationed in all four corners of the building, looking up she could see elevators leading to upper floors and people and robots everywhere. "Welcome to the mage tower. some of you, sorry I mean very, very little of you will be joining us." he says in a very proud tone. as he looks at over twenty of them.
"Follow me I will personally be testing you." He says as leads them into an empty room, looking in you could only see a black orb levitating in the middle of the room. he walks toward it as two assistant walks in after them as they arrange them in order. one walks towards the old man and stands behind him, they were clearly from the same race, there whole form similar to humans except from the black eyes and glowing-colored pupils.
okay come forward, he signals to them who were already arranged in a straight line, as the one in the front comes forward. he was huge, as bulky as any human could get. he's skin mixing between purple and green. walking forward slowly anyone could tell that the giant was pretty shy the old man getting annoyed yells at him to rush forward, going off to say how he doesn't have much time and how he's wasting it on some ...
finally getting close to the orb and following the instruction of the old man he puts he's hands on the orb. silence. nothing happens for some seconds, the orb still as black as night.
"Okay that's enough get out, next person!" the old man practically yells, has his voice gets louder with each passing failure from them. then the 14th person on the line, which was human activates the orb, which begins to glow red, the temperature in the room increasing drastically, as the moisture begins to boil.
"hahaha not bad earthling, a fire mage and a pretty powerful one at that. that's good come forward, next " he says as he taps on the guy shoulder as he walks and stands at his side a little weary
two people tries but both fail then the third, a female with long curved horns backward and hind legs of a deer for her legs, she walks forward as her elven like ears wiggle getting close to the orb, she raises her hands then brings it down then raises it again and brings it down repeating it like five times. as everyone watches in silence.
"Will you fu*** ing put your damn hands on the god damn orb" he screams as he's right eye twitches rapidly.
"ugh" a little squeak escapes her mouth as she hops her bunny like tail stands. she rushes toward the orb and grabs it with a red face. leaving everyone confused at her behavior. as some of them even blushes.
"hahaha not bad closia, plant mage, pretty talented"
hearing the old man everyone looks toward the orb as it glows green, plant growing out from the cracks in the walls.
"Ok looks like my time wasn't waisted, what are you waiting for start moving" smiling he yells at the few people left, Daniel been the fifth last person had already lost all hope. damn it out of 22 only 2 had talent for magic, "looks like I will have to find another way to save my family" his family was the only thing in his mind, they couldn't know he needed to get to them fast and without a strong power he couldn't go back to look for them. death was an assurance if he ever stepped foot on earth again. just thinking of this he gets angry was this it, was he not going to ever find them still in thought it reaches his turn, with his head down he lifts his hands slowly and places it on the orb still looking down and hearing nothing from anyone he looks up in disappointment only to see the orb glowing gold.
"Interesting, what element or ability is this?" the old man says as he walks closer to examine it, in all test if you looked closer you could see runes inside and a symbol representing that element or ability not all test would be visible in the environment, like illusion/trickster mage, healer/life mage etc. looking in he couldn't believe he's eyes was that an hourglass, that symbol only one element could be represented by. Time!
ugh! what the.... he steps backs almost falling to he's butt but gets held by he's assistant "impossible, completely impossible" he mutters as he stares at him for over 2 minutes.
"Wait where are my manners, haha my name is lucard raviese, you can call me lucard. well, what's your name young boy" he says as he's entire demeanor changes, as he makes a small bow, stunning them all. "You know what I shouldn't be wasting your time you could tell me about yourself boy as I escort you to meet our governor" he says still surprising Daniel repeatedly as he quickly follows him out leaving behind everyone including the two who were just tested to have magic talent.
Daniel still in shock sums up the courage to ask why he was doing all this to him. He who had already lost all hope giving up to his fear completely. is giving new hope with such importance giving to him could it be possible for them to be able to rescue his family.
