Chapter 91: Accusation
Some of the people inside the room stared at Raiken with admiration because of what he had shown to them earlier. The ability to travel to another place in the blink of an eye is something that they never know of.
But those who had once served under the Second Hokage, especially Hiruzen, Koharu and Homura they saw the similarity between Tobirama jutsu and the Jutsu that Raiken just performed. So their reaction turned ugly and they glances at Lady Mito who also looked surprised.
'That jutsu… it looks exactly like Tobirama sensei Jutsu but how can Raiken owned it,' thought Hiruzen,the last time he opened the sealed Forbidden Jutsu was two years ago and let Orochimaru learned it however he failed.
A ripple of unease spread throughout the room. Even Lady Mito who always calm and supporting Raiken stiffened slightly. She had lived for a long time, since first hokage then followed by second Hokage, Tobirama for years, she had seen his research, she had witnessed that terrifying instantaneous movement on the battlefield and what Raiken just displayed, vanishing without trace and returning with an apple was far too similar to the famed teleportation jutsu of her late brother-in-law.
Her lips pressed into a thin line. 'He should not know this. No outsider should know this.'
Hiruzen slowly rose from his seat, his hand tightening slightly as he pointed toward Raiken. His expression was complicated, he suspect that Lady Mito had shared that Jutsu to Raiken. If Lady Mito wanted to share it, at least she need to ask his permission first.
"Raiken… how do you know this jutsu?" asked Hiruzen, his voice steady but clearly strained. "This forbidden jutsu shouldn't be known by other people and it should not exist outside of Konoha and I don't think we had shared this technique before. ."
Koharu and Homura, who normally had plenty of opinions to throw around, remained silent both of them were staring at Raiken like they were trying to dissect him with their eyes.
Raiken, unfazed, only gave a casual shrug. "I created it."
It was an obvious lie and yet he said it as casually as if he were announcing that he wanted to sleep.
Hiruzen gaze moved toward Lady Mito. "Lady Mito… did you share any jutsu from the Second Hokage with Raiken?"
All attention snapped toward her.
Lady Mito denied firmly. "I did not. I have never revealed any of Tobirama classified Justu to him."
A heavy silence filled the room.
Her statement made the situation far clearer than before. Everyone now understood why the Hokage reacted so strongly, because he suspected that the Uzumaki Clan had somehow accessed the Second Hokage sealed collection of jutsu.
This teleportation jutsu… was almost certainly the same like Tobirama Jutsu, then they suddenly remembered that Tobirama are also being known have the abilitty to teleport to the other places almost instantly.
The other clan heads except Uchiha Clan exchanged nervous looks, their minds racing. If the Uzumaki Clan truly possessed such jutsu, then the political faction in Konoha would change.
Raiken alone could indeed helping them to subdue tailed beast, not just that he could assassinate enemy commanders before the war even began. He could infiltrate the capital, the Daimyo palace, anywhere he wished.
They think so because of they didn't know that, Raiken need his Kunai to teleport. They thought he had ability to travel around even inside enemy base to kill their leader.
And also if Lady Mito silently shared the second Hokage jutsu to her clan it is unfair, Even worse… If the Uzumaki Clan had secretly appropriated one forbidden jutsu, who could guarantee they had not taken more?
Hiruzen exhaled slowly, his shoulders dropping just a little.
He looked back at Raiken, his expression unreadable.
"Raiken… the jutsu you demonstrated is the similar to the jutsu created by the Second Hokage, Senju Tobirama," revealed Hiruzen.
The others in the room nodded in understanding now that they realized why the Hokage reacted so strongly.
Hiruzen continued, "Although I do not intend to accuse you, it is almost impossible for someone to independently create the exact same jutsu by coincidence."
"Hokage sama, I truly created this jutsu myself," replied Raiken. "I can show you my sealing formula and compare it with the Second Hokage jutsu. But doing so would imply our clan is being suspected of stealing his jutsu and in that case, we will need compensation."
Hearing this, several people blinked in surprise. None of them had expected Raiken to answer so boldly. Even Hiruzen was taken aback.
He suddenly found himself trapped. If he refused, there was a high chance that other clans would think he was trying to frame the Uzumaki Clan. After thinking for a moment, he made a decision.
"Raiken, it is not our intention to suspect your clan," said Hiruzen. "However, the Second Hokage left behind many classified and forbidden jutsu. This jutsu is not for public and only those who have merit and permission can view and learn from it. If it is proven that your clan did not steal this technique, then we can compensate you with one forbidden jutsu from his collection."
"Okay. I agree," replied Raiken.
Minato teleportation just used a different fuinjutsu diagram compared to the Second Hokage version. It had been enhanced by Minato after learning sealing jutsu from Kushina, and now the improved technique belonged entirely to him. Raiken knew this... his system gave him full access of Minato version.
Raiken simply bit into his apple. He did not need to spend more points to buy jutsu. He could simply choose the most suitable S-rank technique for his clan later.
A few minutes passed before the ANBU brought out the Second Hokage forbidden jutsu scrolls.
Raiken handed over his teleportation fuinjutsu formula, and they compared it to the Second Hokage's notes. After a while, Hiruzen exhaled in defeat.
"You are right… this is a new jutsu," he admitted.
Those who heard this felt slightly relieved, yet equally wary of Raiken. To create a forbidden-level jutsu on his own was terrifying.
"Second Hokage... Hokage sama, you promised that I may take one forbidden jutsu from his collection," reminded Raiken.
Hiruzen face twisted as if he had just swallowed something bitter.
"Yes… you may take one of the forbidden jutsu after the meeting ends," he said reluctantly.
"Good," Raiken replied calmly. "Then you understand why I said I will go to war alone."
The room fell silent again... this time not out of suspicion, but from dawning realization.
With a teleportation jutsu, Raiken might actually be able to do it. He might truly stop three hidden villages alone. If he could move instantly across the battlefield…
He could intercept tailed beasts.
He could disrupt enemy supply chains.
He could appear behind enemy generals and end the war in a single night.
Everyone felt a chill.
