Chapter 92: Compensation

"With this teleportation jutsu, I am not merely transporting myself. I can also bring other people along, which makes it far easier to subdue a tailed beast," explained Raiken.

The other who heard it feel like their mind would explode, even Uchiha feel the same.

"How many people can you teleport at once?" asked Shikajin, narrowing his eyes. He had seen many jutsu in his lifetime, but nothing riddiculous as this.

"Around five people," Raiken replied. "If I try to bring more, my chakra gets depleted very quickly. The distance and the number of passengers both affect the strain on my body."

Many exchanged looks, are you kidding me 5 people is more than enough. Even that alone was impressive. To be honest, Raiken could transport far more. After all, even Minato could teleport a fully formed tailed-beast bomb, Kurama and launched them from kilometers away yet still escape unharmed.

Raiken, however, was not Minato. He was an Uzumaki.... a pure-blooded Uzumaki, born with chakra reserves that dwarfed almost every clan in the world. And after mastering Sage Mode, that already monstrous reserve had multiplied to a level that few could even comprehend. This was what allowed him to push the limits of the Teleportation Jutsu in ways the founders of the technique never imagined.

"Only five?" Shikajin pressed, his brows furrowing.

"I can bring more," Raiken replied patiently, "but as I said, it depends on the location, the weight of each person, the distance and the conditions around the teleportation point. But you do not need to worry. The Uzumaki Clan is also developing a communication scroll system that can transmit messages across a thousand miles. Even if we remain in Konoha, we will still be able to coordinate and send reinforcements instantly."

Hiruzen, Koharu, and Homura exchanged a silent look. Their expressions tightened. The other clan leaders did not understand the full implications of what Raiken had just said, but the three elders who trained under the Second Hokage understood perfectly.

Tobirama Senju, the inventor of the Teleportation Jutsu, had always spoken of its limitations, extreme chakra consumption, difficulty transporting more than one individual, and near impossibility of long-distance teleportation without severe exhaustion.

At most, the Second Hokage could carry one extra person. And if he attempted to teleport more than 1000 meter, his chakra would drain dangerously. That was the reason why, during the First Shinobi War, he did not choose to escape. Instead, he covered for his students and allowed them to flee, sacrificing himself rather than risk a failed teleport with the entire platoon.

His technique was meant for short-range, tactical positioning, one kilometer at best.

Yet Raiken had just casually stated that he could teleport entire groups across long distances.

If Tobirama had possessed such mastery, their teacher might still become Hokage and would continue his research.

"Communication scroll?" asked the Yamanaka Clan Leader, leaning forward in interest.

"Yes," Raiken answered. "This scroll will function like a real-time message relay. Whatever happens on one side of the Land of Fire can be transmitted instantly to us. With this, we can mobilize the Uzumaki Clan to support Konoha no matter how far the battlefield is."

Murmurs filled the room. Some were excited, some fearful, and others, particularly the cautious clan leader began to realize the true weight of the power the Uzumaki Clan held. Not only did Raiken possess a teleportation advantage that surpassed the Second Hokage, but he was now proposing a communication system that could revolutionize warfare itself.

Lady Mito could only watch Raiken silently, she also was Uzumaki and she knows how impressive enough her clan Fuinjutsu but after leaving the clan for so long, she now realised that her clan is really impressive and can even create more powerful teleportation jutsu than his brother in law had done.

After the meeting ended, Raiken stayed behind and waited for the Third Hokage.

"Hokage sama, you promised to compensate us," Raiken reminded him.

Hiruzen could only sigh before giving a reluctant nod.

"Yes," he said quietly. He took out a sheet of paper, dipped a brush into ink, and wrote out the authorization note. After stamping it with the Hokage seal, he handed the document to Raiken.

"This is your permission slip. You may proceed to the Department of Scrolls. It is located on that side," Hiruzen said, pointing toward the right corridor.

Raiken nodded. "Thank you, Hokage sama." He closed the door behind him.

Hiruzen let out another long sigh once Raiken left.

Raiken, however, walked away with a spring in his step. There were many forbidden jutsu and high-ranking techniques in Konoha archives and he intended to choose carefully.

When he arrived at the building that housed the ninjutsu archive, he was stopped by two jōnin stationed at the entrance.

"To enter this place, you must present authorization," one of the jōnin said.

Raiken handed over the permission slip. The jōnin read through the contents, confirmed its authenticity, and returned it to him.

"Proceed to the third floor, section A," the jōnin instructed.

"Thank you," Raiken replied.

As he walked deeper into the building, he immediately sensed how heavily guarded it was. Using his Mind Eye, he could feel layers of chakra seals, barrier patterns, and fuinjutsu diagrams woven into every section. It made sense. Any place that stored powerful ninjutsu should be fortified heavily. If the wrong person obtained these techniques, they could become dangerously powerful.

Raiken finally reached Section A... the storage area for the Second Hokage forbidden jutsu.

He began searching through the scrolls one by one. Most of the techniques were water-style, and Raiken could not help frowning in mild annoyance. The Uzumaki Clan typically possessed wind-style affinity, so these jutsu were not particularly appealing.

Then his eyes stopped on a specific label.

Mokuton Research

'Mokuton? Isn't that the First Hokage kekkei genkai? Why is this in the Second Hokage forbidden section?' Raiken wondered. Then a thought struck him. 'Did the Second Hokage create a technique specifically for his brother… and Hashirama simply learned it from Tobirama?'

It was plausible. Tobirama was known as a prodigy of jutsu creation.

He scanned the shelf further. Although he could not read the contents without checking them out officially, he could see the names. One scroll in particular caught his attention, a jutsu that allowed plant life to grow even in desert conditions.

This was exactly what his clan needed. Deforestation from paper production had become severe and even though Uchiha who intemarrying with the Uzumaki Clan could use Wood Release thanks to the presence of Zetsu cells, they lacked a proper collection of Mokuton Jutsu. So far, they only had four of them so far which they developed.

With this forbidden technique, the total of Mokuton jutsu available to the Uzumaki would increase to five.

Raiken picked up the scroll and brought it to the counter downstairs to register it. Once officially logged, he opened it and immediately understood why it had been classified as forbidden.

Anything related to Mokuton was highly restricted. Wood Release was powerful enough to defeat Uchiha Madara himself and Tobirama did not want anyone outside his control gaining such strength. For that reason, he placed all his Mokuton research under the highest level of restriction.

Raiken closed the scroll slowly, a faint smile forming on his lips.

This was exactly what he needed.
