The next morning my head banged as if I had a hangover. It would have been better if it had been a hangover from alcohol rather than one from a sleepless night. Usually, I lay down in one spot and wake in that same place. Not this morning, and not after a night of tossing and turning. The bed looked like I’d been at war in my sleep.
I supposed a part of me was at war with not only myself, but last night’s events. I knew I’d hurt Bianca. I knew she didn’t believe a word that came out of my lying mouth, maybe it was crazy, but I was glad to know she wasn’t half as naive as I first assumed she was.
It was nice to know that she realized every word couldn’t possibly always hold truth. I was glad she had her suspicions. I’d be more concerned if she swallowed every lie thrown her way. It was a relief to find out different.
