Chapter 37 - Chapter 9: Kishimoto vs Asagiri

We all stared at Asagiri Kenji. I could also feel his lion-like aura. He seemed to be the type of person who rules over everyone with an iron fist. Asagiri Kenji is the supposed second-best in combat in the entire school.

"Are you the one who defeated the "Ogre", Tsukamoto-san?" Asagiri said as he glared at me. Everyone else was also staring at me.

"The "Ogre" couldn't handle a single punch from me. He collapsed the moment I touched him." I replied. Asagiri smiled at me maliciously.

"Let's see how many punches you can handle of mine!" Asagiri yelled and in a blink of an eye, he was already in front of me. Of course, he was still slow to me because I watched him slowly reach me.

Asagiri then punched me and to make it believable I leapt back and made blood come out of my mouth. I rolled on the concrete for a few seconds before I stopped myself however Asagiri had already caught up to me. He kicked me in the stomach however I blocked it because I didn't want to send myself into the sky again.

"TADASHI—" I heard Akito scream my name before he coughed out what seemed to be blood.

"Hey, you're pretty strong!" Asagiri cackled before punching my face rapidly.

This speed is at least on par with Ochiyama Kazuo's but still too slow. Asagiri-senpai, you're lucky everyone's watching right now.

I tried to "resist" the punches however Asagiri didn't stop.

* * * * * *

Why aren't you fighting back, Tadashi-kun?!

I wondered why he wasn't fighting but I then realised the people watching. He didn't want them to find out his true strength. I had seen the same man who was now being used as a punching bag by Asagiri-senpai defeat more than seven students who were armed in less than a minute.

"Everyone! Run to the Great Hall!" I yelled. Everyone looked at me as if I was mad.

"We can't just leave. What about Tsukamoto-san!" Kawahara-san cried.

"Don't worry about him. Trust me."

Everyone reluctantly agreed. I gestured to Kaori to go with them and take Harumi with her and she listened to me. It was now just the five of us although Akito and the Giant were still injured leaving me and Tadashi-kun on our own now that everyone had left I was sure that Tadashi and I would be enough to defeat Asagiri-senpai.

* * * * * *

Thanks for that, Ryoko-san but I don't plan on beating him. Oh well, I have the opportunity so I might as well use it.

I grabbed Asagiri's blazer and banged my head onto his. His head started to bleed and whole blood was dripping onto my face, I threw him to where Ryoko was standing. Asagiri stopped himself from reaching Ryoko and stood still for a moment before running towards me. Again I had to stay still and act as if I still couldn't see him move.

100 meters in less than a second wasn't bad for someone on Asagiri's level. It made me feel as if there was still hope for humanity.

Asagiri punched my stomach again and when I went down he then uppercut my face.

From the corner of my eye, I saw Ochiyama get up from where he was sitting and approach Ryoko.

Ah shit.

I had to somehow stop Ochiyama because Ryoko alone won't be able to handle a single hit from Ochiyama and Akito wouldn't be able to have those eyes again.

I sighed as I saw another punch from Asagiri slowly approach me. I held his fist in my hand and punched his stomach. Asagiri then coughed out blood. I took his arm and threw him onto the floor before running towards Ryoko. I could tell both Ryoko and Ochiyama couldn't even see my speed because they haven't even reacted yet. I then grabbed Ochiyama's arm and threw him as well because I didn't want to punch or kick him because it wouldn't end well.

For someone with a reaction speed faster than a cat's he didn't seem to have the ability to react to my speed. Although my speed and a cat's reaction speed are completely different I hoped that he would at least be able to see me but it seems that I had concentrated too hard.

Huh?

I watched as Akito's head slowly turned towards my direction.

He saw me?

* * * * * *

We ran as fast as we could. I knew that Tadashi alone would be able to handle my brother but I'm sure he'd have a hard time because my brother is just that strong.

I wasn't worried or anything but I felt scared for some reason. I did fear my brother but this time I was more scared. My brother had ruled his old middle school and elementary school when he was young because he was simply leagues above the other students.

Although I have seen some of Tadashi's strength, it wasn't close to my brother in any way. Ochiyama Ryuuji was forced to bow to my brother the first time they fought. Ochiyama's brother, Ochiyama Kazuo, was also defeated by my brother in less than a minute.

My brother has never trained like Shimoda Yoshido, Shimoda-chan's brother. My brother gained his combat skills from his experiences and was able to master any person's fighting style with a single glance.

We stopped because everyone was now out of breath. We had run far enough from my brother and Tadashi. I walked over to Ishigami and then whispered to her.

"Ishigami-san, I have to go and calm my brother down so can you lead the group for me?"

Ishigami looked at me as if I went mad. Suddenly, Yonamine-chan leaned in between me and Ishigami.

"Sure, we'd be able to handle it." Yonamine said with a smile. I smiled back at her before turning around and running to where we ran from.

* * * * * *

I looked at Tadashi and he looked at me. We both stared at each other.

I saw Tadashi run from where Asagiri-senpai was to where the Giant from before in less than a second. Nakamoto-san seemed to have not been able to see Tadashi for some reason.

Nakamoto-san mentioned something about my eyes had changed colours however I didn't see any change, actually, I couldn't even control my body or see anything, I simply woke up on the floor with Tadashi, Harumi and Ikeda-senpai crouching over me.

"You saw me which means you can still fight." Tadashi muttered as he stared in my direction. Tadashi then appeared in front of me. He was extremely close to me, there was at least a 30cm gap between our faces. He then grabbed my neck. "Sorry, Akito but I need the other guy. A few minutes is enough."

I suddenly lost consciousness however a few seconds later I felt my consciousness come back. I held Tadashi's arm and he let go. I looked around to see that everything was now extremely slow. My eyesight had also become better and I could see in this darkness as if it was day.

I saw a man with blood on his face in the distance. It was Asagiri-senpai. He looked extremely vexed however not an ounce of fear was felt. I felt a little bit of pain in my body but it wasn't anything that held me from getting up.

I looked at Nakamoto who was standing behind Tadashi who was slowly moving her head towards my direction.

Why was she so slow?

I then looked to my right and it was Kaori's brother. He was running towards us however he wasn't as fast as he was before. He then threw a punch at Tadashi who was still looking at me. Tadashi didn't even need to look at Asagiri-senpai and held his fist with ease.

"Sorry Akito." Tadashi said.

Huh?

Tadashi then grabbed Nakamoto and then climbed a building with Nakamoto in his arms in less than a few seconds. The speed must've had some impact on Nakamoto-san however I couldn't worry about that when I have a beast like Asagiri Kenji in front of me.

Asagiri glared at me. I could feel the bloodlust however I still felt no fear.

I got up from the ground and glared at Asagiri-senpai.

"That's right. I remember a first year ruled over a whole middle school a few years back." Asagiri-senpai spoke as a smirk slowly appeared on his face. "Was that you, Kishimoto Akito?"

I found myself already a few centimetres away from Asagiri.

My body had moved on its own.

My arm reached Asagiri and my hands grabbed his head. I then pushed Asagiri down to the floor however Asagiri grabbed my arm with his right arm and then glared at me. His blood-red hair covered his left eye leaving his right eye exposed which revealed his bloodlust. His eye almost looked like it was glowing.

Asagiri then threw multiple punches at me which I barely managed to block. He then kicked my leg however my body had somehow become stronger and the kick didn't hurt. I glared at him with bloodlust.

I don't know why but I felt the urge to kill.

I saw all the openings on his body. It was obvious as if there were light rays pointing at them.

It was simple.

I threw a punch to his rib but he blocked it, I then kicked his thigh and then punched his stomach. The impact sent Asagiri a few meters back. I leapt forward towards him. He tried to block my attack with his right arm but I grabbed it and held it in the air while I punched his stomach again.

The man who was the supposed second in the school's ranking of combat was being used as my punching bag.

I then got his arm down and twisted it forcing him to turn around. He now lay down on the ground on his stomach. I held his arm and pushed his elbow towards his head. His arm soon snapped. I then held out my hand so that my palm was exposed and then with the bottom part of my hand, I hit his head making him unconscious. I also soon collapsed.

* * * * * *

"Kishimoto-san…defeated Asagiri Kenji…" Ryoko muttered to herself as she watched the fight from the rooftop of a building.

We then both heard rapid footsteps approaching Ochiyama.

It was Kaori.

She looked at her brother who was unconscious on the ground with his arm broken and Akito also unconscious on the ground a few meters away from Asagiri.

"Nii-chan!" Kaori yelled as she ran towards her brother. She tried her best to wake him up but he didn't. She then started wailing next to her brother but the wailing soon stopped. "TADASHI!"

Ah shit.

"Let's go." I said to Ryoko. I then held her again in my arms and jumped down from the roof.

Kaori heard me land and quickly turned her head towards my direction.

"What happened to my brother?!" She yelled. She then started to walk quicker and quicker until she was only a few centimetres away from my face. "WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM!"

"Don't get the wrong idea, Kaori-chan. I didn't do anything."

Kaori and Ryoko looked at me in disbelief.

"What I meant to say was that I wasn't the one who made your brother unconscious."

"What? Then who was it?" Kaori demanded an answer.

"It was Kishimoto-san. I saw with my own eyes, Kaori-chan." Ryoko defended me.

"Huh? You're lying." Kaori didn't seem to believe us. "There's no way Akito could defeat my brother."

"He did, Kaori-chan! But it wasn't really Kishimoto-kun."

"What do you mean by that?" Kaori said as she grew impatient.

"His eyes were different. His eye colour is usually blue but just now they were blood-red." Ryoko explained. Kaori then looked at me. "He looked extremely scary!"

"Tadashi has the same eye colour so aren't you scared of him?"

"Let's stay on topic." Ryoko said avoiding Kaori's question. "Three people are unconscious right now and one of them isn't even from this school. We should at least try to bring all three then tell the school about what happened."

"This might become a big problem y'know." Kaori said. "My brother is ranked number two in combat in this school and after this is spread throughout the school, Akito's rank will change and if what Ryoko-san said is true then without those "eyes" then he would have no chance against the people who will challenge him."

"You're right. Also as we are included in this situation, we will receive a lot of attention from the school and the students." I added.

"Aren't you two already a big deal?" Kaori asked.

"Not as much as people would think but after this, I will get a lot of attention, you and Akito will also receive a lot of attention." I answered.

"So what do we do then?" Ryoko asked.

"We'll just have to handle the attention." I said.

"Yeah that seems fine." Kaori said.

"Probably for us but not for Kishimoto-kun." Ryoko looked at Akito. Her face wasn't cheerful however there wasn't anything we could do unless we had to go with the plans I had already thought of.

"Oh well that's his problem." Kaori sighed. "How long until they wake up, Tadashi?"

"Akito will wake up probably after a day or two but he'll have to stay in the hospital for a week however your brother's going to be hospitalised for a long time." I answered. I then looked at Ryoko however she was still worrying about Akito and didn't seem to be in the world at the moment. "Ryoko-san, how far apart are Asagiri Kenji and Yamada-san in terms of combat skill?"

"Oh…umm…Asagiri-senpai is around grade seven while Yoshio-kun is around grade five."

She knows about the grades as well?

"Grades? What's that?"

"It's a level given to you that determines your combat skill." I explained. "The average person is a grade of 1.5 to 2.5. Grade one is the lowest while grade ten is the highest."

The average person is around a grade 2.0 with anything power being slightly below average and anything higher being slightly above average. A grade 3.0 would be twice as strong as a normal human and a grade 4.0 would be three times the normal human. Grade 5.0 is four times and a grade 6.0 is five times. A grade 7 however is four times a grade 6 and a grade 8 is double a grade 7 and a grade 9 is double a grade 8 and a grade 10 is triple a grade 9. A grade 10 would be the same as more than two hundred normal humans combined.

The reason such a system exists is because humans of such strength exists. The strongest person recorded had the same strength as 300 people or a level of 10.1 however the system stops at 10.

"Where did you learn that from?" Kaori asked.

"When I studied in Russia." I replied.

"Grades are determined by five categories: Overall strength, attack potency, combat speed, reaction speed, durability and technique. The average of all of those categories is your combat level or grade." Ryoko added. "Your brother, Kaori-chan, Asagiri Kenji, has a combat level of 7.1, and Yoshio-kun has a combat level of 5.5."

"Akito now might have a combat level of 7.8."

"7.8! He's extremely strong then. That's higher than Shimoda-senpai!" Ryoko exclaimed.

"What's yours, Tadashi-kun?" Kaori asked. I pondered for a moment before answering however Ryoko answered before me.

"If I was to give an estimate then I'd say 8.3 from what I've seen so far." Ryoko said before nodding almost as if she was agreeing with herself.

"Wait! Wait! I know Tadashi-kun's strong but isn't that a little too high?"

"No, actually it seems too low, doesn't it, Tadashi-kun?" Ryoko said as she looked at me.

Oh well, she knows some of it.

"I think you're overestimating me too much Ryoko-san. Let's get going, we're losing time."
