This horrifying scene made everyone's scalp tingle. Driven by human instinct, the crowd bolted into the neighboring supermarket. Meanwhile, the rain overhead finally fell in earnest.
Watching everything outside turn black, with leeches crawling everywhere in the streets, Charles realized they couldn't afford to wait—the reproductive speed of the things was beyond his imagination. They had to get out of this hellhole fast.
After a quick scan of the supermarket, Charles went to the clothing section and ran his hand over the garments. They looked like normal clothes but felt oddly plastic.
