Anna, sitting to the side, tugged at Charles's shirt. "Gao Zhiming, how did the tattoo on your neck disappear?"
Charles set down his rice bowl and pulled open his collar, discovering that the spider-like tattoo had truly vanished.
"Jiajia, weren't you the one who did this?"
"How could it have been me? Don't be ridiculous. I would never do something like that."
As they spoke, the dishes were already on the table, and the family began eating together in warm bliss. Charles chewed heartily, savoring the delicious food. He had never imagined such simple meals could taste so good.
If only my crew were here too. The thought flashed through his mind.
DING DONG. The doorbell rang. Charles walked over and opened the door to find the entire crew of the Narwhal standing outside, the brilliant sunlight spilling onto their equally radiant smiles.
"Deep, Bandage, James… why are you all here?"
"Captain! We came to find you!" An excited Deep pulled Charles into a hug.
