"Captain... this rat... where... did it... come from...?"
Hearing his first mate's words, Charles was baffled. "That's Lily, our gunner. Don't you remember her?"
Bandage stood there, clutching his head, as if struggling to recall something.
"Is... that so? Sorry... my memory isn't very good... I think... I'm starting... to forget things again..."
"You forgot? How is that possible?" With a tense expression, Charles stood up and walked toward him.
Bandage was his capable assistant—if he lost all his previous memories, it would be a huge problem.
"Come on, let's go see the ship doctor." Charles grabbed Bandage and headed for the door.
BANG. The hatch slammed shut, leaving Lily alone in the Captain's Room.
Lily, her eyes still red from crying, said glumly, "Jump, why do you think Charles is more worried about Mr. Bandage than me?"
After a long moment, there was no response. Panicked, Lily ran to the edge of the table, peering into the dim corners. "Jump?"
