Just as the two were making small talk, Bandage suddenly sensed something and turned his head to the left.
On the pitch-black sea, a semicircular shadow, even larger than the Narwhal, was drifting toward them.
Just as Bandage was about to turn the wheel and steer the Narwhal away, Charles pressed his hand on it, stopping the turn.
"Wait, that's not just some filth from the sea. I've seen that before—that's a Heike Clan ship."
A minute later, Charles stood on deck, his brow furrowed as he gazed at the Turtle Shell Ship that had drifted alongside the Narwhal.
The ship looked as though it had suffered some unknown attack; its hard shell was covered in cracks, giving it a battered and miserable appearance.
"This... maybe... is... a dead ship…" Bandage drawled slowly.
At sea, the term "dead ship" typically referred to lifeless ghost ships. However, to distinguish them from actual spectral vessels, this kind of derelict was simply called a dead ship.
