SPLASH. Feierbahah and Charles emerged from the water.
The environment here was similar to the one underwater: a spacious corridor with a series of numbered metal doors on the right side. However, unlike the underwater section, the structures here were slanted, apparently due to the island's sinking.
Charles noticed something different from the other floors. Diagonally opposite him, where a numbered door should have been, a lounge had been built instead. He was certain it was a lounge. Though the floor-to-ceiling windows were caked in dust, he could still make out a coffee machine, a self-service beverage dispenser, and a row of sofas. The purpose of the room was unmistakable.
Beside him, Feierbahah sniffed the air. "Captain, we can breathe here."
The moment Charles opened his helmet, a thick, musty odor flooded his nostrils. The smell was far from pleasant; it was as if the place had been sealed for centuries.
Charles rubbed his nose and walked toward the lounge.
