One asked questions while the other answered as they quickly arrived at the gondola next to the giant mushroom. By now, the area around the gondola was already teeming with farmers waiting to descend for the day.
Nini hugged Shanshan tightly, then ran toward her mother, who was calling for her from the gondola.
"Goodbye! You have to wait for me! We'll play together again in six months!" she shouted to her friend, her eyes turning red.
Shanshan stood at the very edge of the World Crown's canopy, calmly watching the large basket slowly descend.
Before long, the basket came back up, filled with farmers who had been cultivating ryegrass below. They were dusty from their work and had their families in tow.
"COUGH, COUGH, COUGH!"
"COUGH!"
"COUGH, COUGH, COUGH, COUGH!"
Everyone was coughing, but they wore relieved smiles and removed the protective masks and towels from their faces.
There were no spores atop the World Crown; their coughs would clear up soon.
