Another day went by without much issue, though halfway through it I was filled with relief and giddiness when I noticed that both my wife and my white haired daughter were making their way back to us, meaning that we were going to be reunited sometime soon.
Sharing that news with the family had everyone else excited too, with the children being the ones to let out joyous shouts and run around as they tried to make the two Deerkin come back faster... which obviously didn't 'work', though I suppose them crashing and having to take a long nap technically did work, no?
All in all I got more work done on the Club - it was almost ready to be considered a 'completed' shell of a building - while also selling a lot more wine at the store, which had brought us in a very tidy profit these last few days.
We were making so much each day that I was beginning to wonder if there had ever been a reason for me to worry about these things, though the more I stared at the ledgers and went over the numbers with Ceva the more I wondered if I was just dreaming...
I also took a trip over to Miss Hertanc's store and did some more work for her too, further fulfilling my contract and preparing myself for a small marathon of work that I would do after my wife and daughter returned.
I wanted to take a day and just put my head down in that store of hers to get everything finished before I switched projects again, or more accurately turned all of my attention over to the Club since that was the more 'important' thing to me at this time.
That wasn't to say that I was losing interest in the Horsekin though, just that I wanted to prioritize something else over the jewelry for the time being; honestly it was making me wonder if I had an attention span problem, though it wasn't like I was going to try and fix it since it made life all the more interesting.
Being blessed with these Systems to do these amazing things without much thought made everything easy though, so I don't doubt that I was extremely, absurdly lucky with everything so far in my life, but still I can only do one thing for so long...
Even sex needs to be changed quite frequently lest I grow... somewhat bored of it, hence my abundance of partners who had all sorts of flavoring to them; that was why I had a total of five babies occupying my womb at the moment, and knowing that they were getting ever closer to coming out was definitely a driving force behind me doing so much right now.
I only had a couple days before I would need to pop them out, and ever since Rhefia had left I had gone from a small yet noticeable bump to a more proper, round curve of my belly that had most people in the family achingly hard whenever they saw me.
That made me all the more curious on how Rhefia would react upon her return, so this final day of waiting was somewhat torturous as I just accepted the gentle and constant pleasure coming from Sari as she made love to me, holding that paddle she used so often with a softer touch.
The next morning I knew they were merely a few hours away, so I told Renna that I would be remaining at home to greet them, which had the Nymph heading into the city with Shelur right behind her, the two going to the store to make sure everything would be good before they would return at noon.
Camara even joined them, albeit for a different reason as she instead went to go grab Gertrude, bringing the Bearkin to our home and introducing the Bearkin to everyone before sitting down on the porch with her as we waited.
Preparing a large feast with Heila for lunch, I felt like time was stretching far too damn much as they got closer, until eventually I could feel them not that far away; those final minutes were draining as I kept watching the entrance of the compound, waiting for them to open up and show me the two Deerkin.
When they finally did, it wasn't just two Deerkin that returned; there were two additional people riding on the Geri with them, and immediately I felt a wry smile tugging at my lips when I noticed that the person behind each of the Deerkin had a rather... interesting hold of their rider.
The giant beefcake sitting behind Rhefia was grinning and nuzzling the Deerkin's cheek, saying something to her and rubbing as much of herself against Rhefia as she could, while the older Caninekin behind Aethisia was clinging to her tightly and stirring awake.
The way her arms were wrapped around Aethisia's waist and how she was so close was obviously a sign of intimacy, causing me to glance at the neutral expressions of both Camara and Gertrude as they watched my white haired daughter ride up to us.
Knowing that they would - hopefully - handle everything between themselves, I focused on Rhefia first and foremost as she stopped a few feet from me, and the moment she did she hopped off of the Geri, said something to the Felinekin behind herself and scooped up Ehretia and Ipoala as they ran towards her, greeting her children first even as she walked straight to me.
The first thing she did was kiss them on their brows before leaning in for a long, hungry kiss on my lips, which I reciprocated even as I raised a brow and glanced pointedly at the grinning Felinekin, who was probably as tall and muscular as Shelur... which was impressive.
"Mm... give me a few minutes, alright? It'll make sense... Aw, did you two miss me that much~! Don't cry, it's alright..."
The immediate pivot to being soft spoken as she peppered the two girls in kisses made me melt a little too, so although I had many questions I still walked her and our new 'guests' towards the house, where a feast awaited them.

Sorry for the inconsistent uploads this month; work has been a bit more tiring, time has been split between other things - different novels and general life stuff - and now I have to get a tooth pulled soon, so yay~!
The rest of the month'll be on and off uploads as I just kinda get back into things, and honestly I've been enjoying reading more than writing this last week as well; just going back and rereading this, Laid Back Life and other novels I read a long time ago...
Hopefully the new year'll be back to normal, and there should still be uploads at least every other day, but until then have a nice holiday season everyone~!
