While everyone was sleeping in their temporary burrow karma body started glowing faintly as he finally seemed to reach the third tier of power.
Karma was training nonstop with winter and fought to his limit in the war almost dying a few time while recharging some energy from the fallen to stay fighting.
Unfortunately for him greys body also started glowing as at that same time Lily reached a certain point with the help of Brian veils teaching on runes.
And thanks to their connection greys and Adam's progress boosted Lily but her progress also strengthened them creating a power loop that grey forgot about because how chaotic everything has been.
Adam was always strong and his training with Lily only steadily imroved that but greys body and energy was pushed to the limit multiple times forcing his power to beyond its limits and Lily could feel the sudden power boost.
But is was only now that all three of them were in a good condition at the limit of their two that the two summons and their summoner finally fully synced that they pushed through.
Ted watched from his temple as the sleeping creatures across the streaming water evolved all over the place as everyone fought to the bitter end many rabbits evolved.
But a strang light caught his eyes in the distance away from the rabbits two soft lights glowed brightly one purple and the other red.
"Hmm? Interesting I'll visit everyone myself in the morning, but it looks like I made the right choice with that rabbit." Ted smiled proudly
"It looks like the kid will need… about twenty or thirty more days to finish everything so I'll just tell them."
That night grey slept soundly as he didn't enter his lucid labs.
That night when Lily went to sleep she saw a giant furred blue bear in a grassy plain.
"Uncle Ted? Am I dreaming again." She questioned.
Ted smirked at her. "Well you should know by now little one." Everyone word he spoke to the girl was full of caring affection almost like a father guiding his child.
"I'm just here to relay a few messages to you so don't worry we won't be doing any harsh training like before."
Lily let out a deep breath of relief.
"So listen up your rabbit is going to need at most thirty days before he can return, hopefully less but work on Adam's new powers before you summon your third. He shoul be enough hopefully."
Lily nodded like a excited as Ted gently placed his massive paw on her forehead.
"I'm going to give you some memories that your used to create special moves. Summoning is more than call for help from powerful monsters."
Lily stopped at the mention of her summoning powers. She looked up at him nervously "umm… uncle Ted I was told some summons hate is because we take them from their home, it's so bad other planets know about and someone is hunting down all elves because of it."
Ted look pained at the mention of that. "Let me tell you a story little one my dire bear tribe is actually from another planet. One day someone was summoned and fell in love with another bear from the spirit world grey is from and that's how my tribe started in this realm."
"The thing is most creatures in that realm are hybrids or from beyond but in the end me Adam and grey are enjoying our current lives so don't worry about it."
They continued chatting about things until morning came and Lily had to awaken.
They happily parted ways waving each other off and in the next moment Ted was opening his eyes in his temple that had pictures of stars surrounding a planet full of bears.
He let out a deep sigh as he waked towards the area full of rabbits.
It was now early morning when grey woke up to the sound of loud murmuring.
He lifted his head from the coiled mess named Jade and looked around in a sleepy daze trying to find the thing that woke him.
In the distance the older rabbits were already awake working on starting a small farm before a pair of golden eyes peeked through the temple and were slowly approaching.
Most of them were obviously pretty worried getting ready to fight at a moment's notice.
"UGH! Dammit Ted SOME OF IS ARE TRYING TO SLEEP! Come back later you sadist oaf" Grey yelled.
Every that was up froze up before slowly looking at grey like he was crazy.
"Did he say Ted?"
"As in the Demi god of dreams Ted?"
"Aw crap he just insulted him, we're dead"
The farmers were talking nervously looking back and forth between grey and the approaching eyes that began chuckling.
"It seems like somebody's moody today don't worry I just need to talk to you for a bit and you can go back to your long deserved sleep.
*Sigh* "no forget it I'm already up now." Grey looked around at everyone's nervous face "let's talk somewhere else your making everyone nervous here." He grumbled.
"Yeah sure let's go cranky follow me to the temple." Ted said turning back around.
Grey gently got off Jade and stretched on the floor popping a few bones and letting out guttural sound of relief before following after the big bear into the temple.
"What's going on big guy, you interrupted the first relaxatiing sleep I've had in a long while and everything is still really sore."
Ted looked a grey with an unamused face. "Just listen I only got three things to say so listen well. First you have at most thirty day left to finish any business you have in this time and second all those creature on that side of the stream is your responsibility."
"Whoa whoa whoa! Didn't you say you'll look after my people? Plus how am I supposed to do that when I'll be with Lily most of the time after this. Think about it!"
"TCH, fine your right but I'll only deal with major problems the small day to day things they will have to do on their own."
Grey just weakly nodded at Ted's words.
"Oh and congratulations on becoming tier three."
"WUT?" Grey looked at Ted confused.
"Well yeah you and a few others evolved in your sleep last night like that green buddy of your and that undead bear."
"Anyways my final point has to do with this, your only using your powers to enhance your physical abilities for the most part. It's been working for you somehow but with the addition of your second rune try using your power outside your body like you did to silence an area around you."
Grey smiled awkwardly at that "I know it's just I've been in situations where I needed to act quickly, so I've been sticking to what I know how to do but since things calmed down I'll try it out… also what my second rune?"
Ted looked at him like a idiot "how the hell should I know channel you're power into it and show me."
Grey closed his eyes and focused on his soul deep inside he felt a second Symbol near his tail shaped like a green cloud. "Huh?"
After channeling some energy into it a green mist surrounded greys body leaving him shocked "I swear that wasn't a fart!"
Ted just lightly chuckled at the comment "no, it seems to be a poison gas rune not a fart rune." He add the last bit to tease grey.
"Anyways please introduce me to that bear friend of yours she seems to be a distant relative of my dire bear tribe. And although she is undead leaving me as the last living member of my tribe I'm just glad to have some family around."
Grey was shocked he had never seen the warm and comforting smile Ted was at this very moment.
"I'll tell her… but how do you know?" Grey questioned.
"Simple I felt it when she evolved into a ghoul bear last night, plus most bears can change their size while being extremely powerful."
"Ok" grey said before leaving."
Grey thought about everything that has happened on his way to meet golo and cocoa.
And the fact that his only abilities that didn't boost him physically where his piercing scream and his natural translation skill, and no he had a second element just as dangerous to himself and everyone around him?
'Crap why are all my abilities hazardous?' He thought to himself. Grey found cocoa resting near golo but not sleeping as she was just staring at the sky with golo laying on her belly.
"You two are as close as ever?" Grey waited for a response but all she did was silently stare at him curiously.
"Ahem, anyways just wanted to let you know when you were evolving last night Ted the demigod in the temple could feel it and said you might be one of his distant relatives. So basically if you ever need anything go see him I'm sure he'll help because he's also the last of his clan I guess."
Golo slowly got up like a zombie "nah, we could use the help for sure but in the end our revenge has to be achieved by our own power or it's meaningless. But remember your promise to help us, we just need you to track them down and keep anyone from leaving."
Grey looked at them for a bit in a exhausted manner "Can we head out in a day or two i need to rest up and train my new rune."
"Yeah that fine Tony needs to open a gate near our old home anyways."
"Oh yeah what is Tony's second rune I never got to ask about it. He just appeared and disappeared into things somehow?"
Golo smiled at that "Just ask him before you introduce him to the alchemist, hmm I'm bored so I'll build us a arena to practice fights and using our powers."
Grey waved them off as he walked outside the misty hills. "If I wanna practice it can only be by myself unfortunately." Grey said sadly.
With his ears he felt a bird sneaking up on him from above so he charged his second rune releasing a thick green fog around him scaring off any predators.
He saw a few nearby trees not to far away "welp I guess practicing on trees for now is as good as it can get, I have a few ideas on what to do with my sound rune… but let's experiment with this new rune!"
After noon grey was feeling hungry so he went back to his new home leaving behind trees that were shattered, decayed, melted and even ruptured.
"It seems I even use my new rune with my body as the base? I must be doing something wrong I can feel it I'm getting close to a break through on manipulating them." Grey said aloud as he walked back.
From morning till now all the adult rabbits were building a small town with stone houses of all kinds. Some were even arguing about the aesthetics not matching.
In the distance not to far away a tree already had a beehive on it while golo had already finished his arena by making a giant bowl crater in the ground away from everyone.
"Goblins, bears, snakes, hyenas, toads, rabbits and bees all living together sound like a story out of a book?" Grey said looking around.
"Well duh not many are willing to stay near their natural predators and enemies long enough to see if they are friendly let alone become friends and start a town together." Karma said as if grey was the weird on
"You've always been good at making strange friends. You so weird you make the weirdos of other races feel normal around probably why we're friends because I'm a weirdo too."
Grey smiled warmly at karmas words. "Ok weirdo why do you look so… healthy and happy it's only been a day."
Karma lifted his chin smugly "well I evolved last night, I did get a second element but I did get a trait, come here I'll show you!"
Grey just did as he said but at that moment lime deer antlers grew from his head and a green light enveloped greys body.
All his exhaustion, wounds and stress visibly disappeared making him look like a ordinary rabbit and not one that just escaped a war.
"You gained a healing trait?"
"Nope it's a trait of protection with it I can heal others or boost their abilities while providing support with barriers."
Grey broke out in laughter at his words leaving karma dazed. "What is it?"
It took a minute for grey to calm down as he wiped a small tear away. "No it nothing, it's just I also evolved last night but I got the complete opposite! I got a rune of poison gas it allows me provide damage to a group and weaken thing. I just find it funny how our personalities and powers are the complete opposite of each other yet we still get along so well."
The two chatted while walking before eating and sperating grey introduced Tony to his mother only to get a lecture on why he couldn't be as diligent as Tony when learning.
It was late evening when blitz approached grey "hey grey everyone wants to know how you want to arrange the building layouts?"
Grey stared at her confused "why should my opinion matter?"
Now it was her turn to look confused "why wouldn't it this land is from a demigod given specificity to you so that means your in charge of it obviously."
"Oh… um I guess we don't want a repeat of what happened before and I be gone quite often so find maybe five people to be in charge and oversee everything together. Ted will have me on missions most of the time so I can't really do much else."
She looked at him curiously but didn't pry into any details "ok so pick the five leaders of this village and name it before you leave."
"Ok soooo we need smart and strong people in charge here with experience? And most of the old ones died how about my mom, Daisy, you, winter and? The only other person I could think of is karma. Just make sure no trouble happens between my friends and my people I guess, as for a name… how about foggy paradise since I'm pretty sure more than just us rabbit will live here in the future."
Blitz was left in shock as grey quickly escaped from responsibilities once again leaving other to deal with it.
