Outside, there was a hanging chair. Ian Monroe was immediately drawn to it, climbing onto the chair and happily rocking back and forth.
In the sunroom, only the two of them remained.
Evan Fairchild suddenly stood up and moved his seat next to Melody Monroe.
The sudden proximity made Melody Monroe's heart pound wildly.
"How's the drink?" he asked suddenly.
"It's good."
The corners of Evan Fairchild's lips quirked up. "Besides being good, does it make you remember anything?"
Melody Monroe slowly raised her head, looking at Evan Fairchild blankly. "Remember what?"
Evan Fairchild picked up his glass and poured some of his drink into Melody Monroe's.
Melody Monroe stared at him, stunned.
Evan Fairchild picked up her glass and placed it in her hand.
"Then have some more. Maybe you'll remember."
Melody Monroe took the glass and clinked it against Evan Fairchild's. She had only taken a sip when she immediately frowned.
