Evan Fairchild's full weight was on her, and she could barely hold him up!
"Mr. Fairchild," she called out.
But Evan Fairchild didn't react at all.
'Wasn't he just fine a moment ago? How did this suddenly happen?'
'She had just thought he was pretending, but now she wasn't so sure. Was he drunk or not?'
Melody Monroe and Ian Monroe struggled to help Evan Fairchild onto the bed.
Ian Monroe quickly took off Evan Fairchild's shoes and pulled the covers over him.
"Mommy, Mr. Fairchild is drunk. Let's just let him sleep. Can we go play for a while? That hanging chair is so much fun!" Ian Monroe said, tugging on Melody Monroe's hand and shaking it gently.

Melody Monroe glanced back at Mr. Fairchild on the bed, then looked at Ian Monroe and slowly nodded.
"Mommy, come on!"
When Ian tugged, Melody Monroe nearly stumbled. "Sweetheart, slow down."
Ian Monroe let go of his mother's hand and ran outside.
