After I gave the coffee, I left the office. I headed down the stairs moving past the table right in the middle of the corridor. I don't even know if I want to find out what happened. It's
bad enough that I had to wake up early, arrive late, nearly had my head thrown off and got slapped and now there's something else to make life inconvenient. My head still hurts but it should be fine in a while. As I head to the exit my body feels warmer. The sun is shining bright on to my skin. It's illuminating my uniform.
The train to Koshika is set to leave in around 20 minutes so I don't have time to get a quick snack. That's a shame since I'm feeling a bit hungry but it's fine. The train should have something to eat. There's a bus on the side of the street. As I head towards it, I can see the krestyl core glowing from inside the bus. It seems that the bus hasn't been fully built yet. It's probably because of the increase in residents from the other nations and the fact that there just isn't enough time to get everything fixed. As I headed towards the bus, I could see all Of the passengers and their disgusted looks. I don't get what their so upset about. I only just heard about the spirit problem like 45 minutes ago. I entered the bus and took a seat at the far back of the bus.
"What are you looking at psycho?" said a Thronrean wearing an elite peacekeeper uniform. He looked to be around 50 something. I overheard that the elites vehicles were being fixed with new upgrades by the Asvals. The elite had a stubble and greyish black hair. His body was toned and a single punch would be enough to knock out a normal peacekeeper.
"Who would want to look at your ugly mug?" replied the young man. His eyes were red just like Sakura's. He likely comes from (INSERT). There is a race of people where they embrace the humans' darkest qualities. Some of them repress it but it's no use. The ones who act weak tend to die off quickly.
"You better watch you're –" the man said before being cut off.
As the man was trying to talk, he was interrupted by another elite peacekeeper. She stood in between them with her hands placed on both chests. Her arms were stretched wide to make sure that they weren't able to get to each other. Looking closer I was able to get a good look at the woman. It was Ariri. She was my mentor when I first started as a peacekeeper a few months ago. She was beautiful with long blonde hair reaching the bottom of her rib cage. She had bright golden eyes. She was wearing the same uniform as the peacekeeper to her left. She smiled and opened her mouth to say something.
"There's no need for any of us to cause trouble" Ariri said.
"Stay out of this" The young man responded
Ariri tilted her head towards the young man, keeping her smile.
"I'm sorry about my colleague sir. He's just annoyed by the repairs" Airi responded
The young man grunted and returned to his seat and stared out of the window. Everyone else pretends that they didn't see anything. The old man looks irritated but relaxes his facial expression and heads towards the end of the bus. Ariri follows him and when her eyes move towards me, she smiles and waves. It's been a while since I've seen her. I don't want to appear rude so I smile back.
"Hey Takashi" she says
"Hi" I respond. I've never been the best when it comes to interacting with others
The old man looks at me and then at Ariri and asks
"Who's the kid?"
"This is Takashi" Ariri responds
Both of them come closer in my direction and Ariri takes a seat on my left and the old man sits on the right.
"Takashi, this is Komorada" Ariri says while pointing at the old man.
"Nice to meet you kid" Komorada says.
Komorada looks at the file that I have in my hands and asks what it is.
I respond "This is the case file. I haven't had a chance to look at it yet"
Komorada looks confused almost as if my actions were abnormal.
"Are you late for work or something?" He asks
I nod in response.
"Where are you assigned?" Ariri asks
"Koshika" I said
I was about to continue but the doors opened signaling my arrival to Thronrean central train station. I look at both of them about to tell them but before I can Ariri looks at me about to say something.
"If you're running late then it's best to get to where you are going. We can talk in more detail when you come back."
I give them a quick bow before heading off the bus. I walk inside the train station looking at the schedule. It says the train to Koshika is leaving in two minutes. I jog towards the train passing through people in a rush to catch the earliest train leaving. If I miss this train then I'll have to wait another hour before the next train arrives.
Standing in front of the train I never took the time to see just how long it really was. Most of the time, I'm rushing late for work and do not have the time to have a quick look. I'm surprised never accidentally boarded the wrong train. I take a step forward and I head to my compartment. My ticket says the single suite. I sit inside and give out a sigh of relief. The doors locked and the walls mostly soundproof so I don't have to worry about others hearing me.
I open the folder and read what's inside. After a few minutes I feel as if I know exactly what to do. My assignment is to locate the exact location of the spirit outbreak. Then I must find out why it is happening and I need to stop it. I'm honestly surprised Sakura assigned such an important task to a 15-year-old like me. I mean she has always said that I had great potential but that's only when I mess up. I close my eyes with the intentions of sleeping. My destination isn't that far away.

I open my eyes and look out of the windows. I'm surprised I managed to sleep this much. My body feels fully energized. I'm just a few minutes from the gate. A few minutes go by and I grab my stuff and head towards the door. Most of the people here are tourists. Their disgusted looks are clearly saying "I have paid for this vacation and it would be much better if you had fixed this mess up".
I should tell them that there is nothing that I could have done since I had no knowledge of what had happened but it would just cause more problems. I walk out of the train and through customs. When the customs officers look at me their face beams with joy. Perhaps the situation is far worse than I thought it was. I smile back and explain what I am here to do.
After heading out of customs I walk to towards the main gate. The gate overlooks the horizon and for the first time since arriving, I've been able to get a good look of the scenery. The pink trees and bright green grass illuminate the land. The houses with floors smaller than the previous stand proud and for the first time I can understand why they call this nation the land of the rising sun.
