I dropped my stuffs at the booth of my car and headed towards my seat. I kept glancing around looking for my so called good Samaritan.
"I will pay him back whenever I see him" I said to myself, feeling insulted.
"Who the hell does he think he is .." I said remembering how rude and proud he was.
"That was just 20 dollars asshole" I yelled and hit the horn. It brought me back to my senses and I drove on. Mom called on my way, enquiring about my whereabout.
"Relax pineapple I'm not missing!" I teased.
"Hurry back home sweetheart, dinner is ready" she replied and my stomach rumbled at that moment.
"I'm on my way!" I replied and sped on.
I arrived home but got stuck in a little traffic. A car was entering the next house so I had to wait for a while. When it was cleared, I drove inside our garage. Mom was already waiting for me in front of the garage.
"I thought you were missing" she said when I got out.
"I told you I will be fine..I'm a big girl okay" I smiled and walked past her to the living room.
Dinner was served and it was just for the two of us since Dad was out to enquire about his job.
"So how was your shopping..did anything out of the ordinary happen?" Mom asked.
"Don't bring it on mom, it was so embarrassing" I replied sticking my fork into my mouth.
"Really what happened?"
"I didn't have enough funds on my credit card and one rude guy treated me as if I were a begger" I replied.
"Really that's cool.. did you get to thank him?"
"I said he was rude , he just threw his money on to my face and dashed out!" I exclaimed
"Maybe he didn't want you to feel embarrassed"
"Embarrassed? That's what he made me feel..I would have been better if he gave me the chance to thank him"
"Do you recall his face?"
"Not really ! but I think I will recognize him if I see him again" I replied finishing my meal
"I bet he is hot! "
"Mom! like seriously!!" I exclaimed and got up to wash my plate.
"I'm just curious!" she teased.
Ivan's POV
"what kept you man ! it's been an hour" A dark skin , masculine guy tapped Ivan ..his name was Eric.
"I'm sorry ..it was one bitch who was delaying at the cashier" I replied
"Hey Ivan over here !" Jack exclaimed and
I walked over carrying the wine in my hand. Eric and Jack are my closest friends and we were organizing a small house party.
"Everything set ?" I asked looking around.
"I think so " Eric smiled.." The pool is ready, barbecue set, drink cup table..fucking room!" he said and I hit him playfully.
"You know that's very necessary right and did you pack some condoms?" Jack said.
"I did!" I winked at him.
"Party is at 7 and it's almost 6 , why is the chef not calling! " I yelled pouring myself a glass of wine.
"Hey Ivan .. did someone move into the next house!" Jack called out from my room asking.
"Yeah I saw some lights ..I think so " I replied.
"Do you think there is a girl?" Eric asked placing his arms around my shoulders.
"yeah there is ..she is 2 months old" I replied and pushed him away. The chef arrived 30 minutes later and arranged the food area. My parents were away from town so I had the house to myself. Guests started trooping in by 7 and by 8 the place was almost full.
"Hi babe !" Chloe one of my female friends hugged me. She was with her hot friends and all eyes were on them.
"Did you not miss me " she said wrapping her arms around me.
"Just a little bit " I replied and kissed her .
"A moment please" I said and headed towards my room to pick some items. As I walked inside, my neighbors window caught my attention . It was a silhouette of a girl. She was tying up her hair and I couldn't take my eyes off it . She had really long hair and the silhouette was beautiful. I turned around when Suzanne, one of Chloe's friends walked in.
"What are you looking at Ivan? " she asked leaning closer to my window.
"Nothing" I replied walking towards my closet.
"I can see you have a neighbor.. wait is that a girl!" she said.
"Does it matter?" I responded coldly. I wasn't fond of her since she lured me into sex during our last prom and that made me lose the chance of dating Chloe my childhood friend and crush. Not sounding like a good boy though ..I'm actually noted by my friends for being a player but the truth is the girls are the ones who force themselves on me and who I'm I to say no!
"Why are you being cold towards me ..is it because of the sex scandal and why do you care when that's what you enjoy doing"
"Cut that crap and leave my room.." I replied and showed her the exit. Just as she was about leaving Chloe badged in .
"Oops.." Suzanne said and kissed me on the cheek.
"Ivan?? Suzanne??.. again??" she said , her hands shaking.
"No Chloe.. it's not what it seems"I replied
"I thought you were my friend!" Chloe threw the wine on her and walked out. I run after her, tripping over a couple of glasses. I caught up with her in front of my house. she was about leaving and I wasn't going to allow that.
"It was a misunderstanding Chloe.. Suzanne means nothing to me" I said, my breath shaking
"That's what you said the last time but you went ahead and fucked her!" she replied angrily.
"But I said sorry!" I exclaimed.
"Does that matter when you are flirting with her again!"
"Seriously ! I don't even like her ..she keeps on pushing herself on me and she wants you to hate me ..are you going to give her that chance!" I replied ,gradually losing it.
"I don't know why I'm even pissed..you can do whatever you want besides you are not my boyfriend!" she exclaimed and walked out on me. Her words stabbed me like a knife. Everything she said was true but I didn't expect those words from her . I watched as she sat in her car and drove off. I sighed, rubbed my hands through my hair and went back inside.
