Opening his eyes, Y/n stares blankly at the increasingly familiar ceiling of the link unit for a few seconds, waiting for the lingering effects of his mind transfer between bodies to fade. Every time he transferred back into his normal human body, he was left with a slight headache which annoyed the life out of him, but there was nothing to do besides wait.

And once it did, he finally pushed open the lid of the link unit and climbed out, using the wall as support as he left the room containing the linked unit. He then walked into the main room, which was basically everything room since it had the kitchen and was close to the entrance to leave the building.

He grabbed the nearest closet chair and sat down in front of a desk with books scattered around, leftovers from his earlier exploration of the building.

But he couldn't care less about them at the moment as he leaned back in the chair and closed his eyes while grabbing his nose bridge.

It was strange, even though his human body was in the lab the entire time, it still felt exhausted. Maybe it was mental fatigue rather than physical, especially since Neytiri was quite hard on him during their outing.

*FlashBack*

Ducking under a tree root, Y/n glances ahead at the older woman walking in front of him. They haven't spoken since leaving the High Camp, but things felt... tense, to say the least. It was already awkward enough having to ride her ikran to the ground, which was cool as hell but also scary because of, well... Neytiri.

Mustering the courage, Y/N opened his mouth, trying to start a conversation between the two.

Y/n: So…. where exactly are we heading, Neytiri?

She glanced over her shoulder at him briefly before shifting her attention back to the path ahead.

Neytiri: Do not speak to me in such a casual tone, sky demon. You're only alive now because my olo'eyktan, my mate, deems it so. As for his reason for having me, of all the hunters, be the one teaching you, elude me, but nevertheless, I'll do what he wants.

Y/n: Okay, okay, calm down. I didn't mean to offend you or anything.

Stopping where she stood, Neytiri turned to face him and reached for her bow, which she carried on her back, and pushed it outward towards him.

Neytiri: Do you see this bow? It was entrusted to me by my father on his deathbed after an attack on my clan's home by you, sky people. This bow was meant to be passed down from generation to generation to the next olo'eyktan. Do you want to know what he told me before he died?

Neytiri: Protect the people. So if at any point I suspect any ill intent from you towards my clan or worse, my family, I'll shoot an arrow right into your body. Do I make myself clear, sky human?

Y/n: Yeah, yeah, 100 percent understood.

And just like that, she placed the bow back on her shoulder and began walking again, with Y/n hanging back slightly, scared of making any mistake that could probably kill him.

They kept walking a little longer before Neytiri raised her hand to signal him to stop, and he quickly obeyed. She crouched down, looking at something on the ground. Doing the same, he moved closer to see what was wrong.

He quickly noticed that what caught Neytiri's attention was a pair of footprints from some kind of animal. Her eyes glance at him before crouch walking, following the footprints that lead them to a small open area.

Standing in the middle of the open area was a creature resembling a horse, which hadn't noticed the pair yet as it was busy eating grass.

Y/n: "quietly" What is that?

Neytiri: Direhorse, this is where your first listen starts, sky man. You are going to make a bond with the creature.

Y/n: Huh, the... bond? How exactly do I do that?

Neytiri: With this.

She reached out, grabbing the long part of his hair and lifting it close to his face. The ends of the hair fall, but some small pinkish tendrils stay standing up.

Neytiri: Calm the creature, then climb on, and finally use your kuru to establish a bond with it.

Y/n: Okay, easy peasy then, no problem... I definitely got this.

Taking a breath, Y/n slowly started walking toward the creature with confidence, or at least what looked like confidence on the surface. After all, you can't seem weak against an animal.

As he got closer, the Direhorse suddenly lifted its head in his direction, probably because it heard him as he was a few feet away.

Y/n raised both hands toward the animal, attempting to appear non-threatening and not like an enemy trying to hurt it.

Y/n: Hey buddy, don't worry about me. Just go back to eating or licking that thing on the ground from before.

It almost seemed like it was narrowing its eyes, but instead of running or attacking Y/n, the Direhorse cautiously lowered its head to continue eating.

He slowly places his hand on his back, feeling along the muscle and trying not to spook it in any way. Since there was no pullback, he gradually climbs onto its back and sits up. His eyes searching until landing on the two long things, which he grabbed and looked inside of, seeing tendrils like the ones from his kuru, which must mean that those two long things were the Direhorse kuru.

Bring his and its kuru together, the tendrils slowly intertwined, and Y/n felt a strange sensation. He took a deep breath, but it felt off, like his breathing wasn't his, and his muscles felt stronger.

He wasn't the only one who felt something was strange as the Direhorse shifted slightly when the bond was formed.

Neytri: Do you feel it?

Neytiri, who had remained silent throughout the entire interaction, finally spoke and walked over almost gracefully, her hips swaying a little with each step.

Y/n: Feel what exactly?

Neytri: the bond, the connection of two living beings united as one. You feel what she feels and vice versa.

Was that why he felt the air was fresher than before?

Y/n: Yeah, I... I can feel her and it's... fucking awesome!

He raised both fists in the air, celebrating his first connection, but suddenly the animal, as if celebrating with him, stood on its hind legs. However, because he wasn't expecting that, he slipped and fell on his back, landing in some mud.

Y/N: Ugh, goddamn.

He lay in the mud with his eyes closed, a sigh slipping from his lips. Soon, Neytiri came over and was standing near his head.

Neytiri: Tsk, you sky human are all like, skxawng! Getting excited at the worst of times when instead you should be learning.

While she was speaking, the small laugh that escaped her didn't go unnoticed by him, as she was probably laughing at the stupid fail bond.

However, she wasn't completely wrong about one thing she mentioned, how he was becoming excited at the worst moments.

* Here you go, my fellow horny reader, giving you something so you wouldn't leave my book.*

Since Neytiri was standing very close, this gave him the chance to look up her loincloth and see what was hidden behind the fabric. His eyes traced along her thighs until he finally saw what he thought wouldn't happen until he set his plan into motion.

Her pussy, unlike the rest of her body which was blue, had reddish lips. But what was even more of a surprise was that, since the Na'vi are essentially indigenous people, Neytiri didn't have any hair down there.

If it wasn't for the fact that he was facing down, he was sure his bonner would be sticking out like a sore thumb... He looked down his body, seeing a very noticeable bulge... And he remembered that he was facing upwards.

Y/n: Yeah, *awkward laugh.*

Y/n quickly stood up and tried to hide his obvious bulge by walking toward the diehorse and using it to block the view of his lower half.

And just like that, the rest of the day was pretty uneventful, mostly spent getting familiar with having a connection to another animal on a more intimate level.

* This goes out to you, my OG readers, if you understand this reference.*

* Present day*

Y/n finally leaned forward, his eyes scanning the desk full of books until landing on one. Grabbing it, he looked at the title of the book, which was "Feline Characteristics and Traits."

The main reason he got the book was because, when he first saw the Na'vi, he couldn't help but notice their feline animalistic features, like the ears, tail, etc. Through this book, he hoped to find a connection between the two that would help him better understand the Na'vi.

As he flipped through the pages, he began reading them one by one, absorbing as much knowledge as possible. He was so focused that he didn't notice someone entering the building until a pair of hands appeared from behind and rested on his chest.

???: Surprise, Y/n, I bet you weren't expecting me, were you?~

Y/n: Hm?

Turning his face to the side, he glanced over his shoulder at the person, confirming his suspicion that it was none other than Kiri.

She was pressing herself against his back, or rather the chair, which prevented her from fully resting her weight on him.

Y/n: I can't really say I was, but what are you doing here, Kiri? I would think that Jake and Neytiri wouldn't want you going out, especially since it's pretty late and because of you… You know, going missing for a day or two.

Kiri: They don't know I'm here, and I would like to keep it that way... It's unfair!

Y/n: Uh, what is?

Kiri: Neytiri, I don't understand why she wouldn't simply let me teach you instead. After all, I know you better than they do, and she clearly doesn't want to.

Kiri: So! If I can't help you with her around, I thought it would be best to help you become Na'vi by doing it when it's just the two of us... "Slight blush" S-S-S-So I thought since Neytiri probably wouldn't teach you this, I figured I could teach you how to understand our language.

Y/N: You know, that actually sounds pretty helpful, so I'll take you up on that offer. After all, how could I turn down a cute girl wanting to spend her time helping me.

Kiri: "whispering" c-c-cute? "Coughing." Hmh! Of course, come on, let's find a place that makes this more comfortable.

Smirking, Y/n placed down the book he was reading and followed after Kiri to find a place where they could spend time studying the Na'vi language.

But as they went to do that, Y/n left the book he was reading wide open to the last chapter he was on before being interrupted, titled "Sexual Imprint."

Before he knew it, a few days had passed with nothing important happening except spending time with Neytiri as she taught him the many things about being a Na'vi.

This brought him to today, his first day off from all his teaching between the two women, finally giving him a chance to relax a little…

Na'vi 1: "random Na'vi words."

Na'vi 4: "random Na'vi words."

Na'vi 2: "random Na'vi words."

Well, relaxing was the thing he wanted to do, but instead, he somehow found himself in his avatar body, being looked at by the passing Na'vi, most likely because he was new or because they didn't trust him, which he didn't blame them for. After all, he had his mission he needed to work toward.

But setting that aside for now, he couldn't help feeling a bit awkward sitting at one of the few wooden benches, eating his breakfast soup.

He couldn't help but think back to how he even ended up here on his "day off".

For the new story, people with the original chapter lineup should note that the ending of this chapter won't connect to the next, as this chapter now leads into a new chapter that hasn't been written yet. For now, you can just think of the ending as them going to learn the Na'vi language. Since that how the original chapter ended.

So originally, this chapter was going to be combined with chapters 5, 6, and 7, along with a new full-length chapter containing content not included in the original chapter lineup. This content was about to be shown next in the flashback and the day's events. But anyway, I thought it would be annoying to see "flashback" again in the same chapter. So I decided to keep them separated, or rather, keep this chapter and the new content chapter separate. Chapters 6 and 7 would be combined into one.

So anyway, I hope you enjoyed!
