Meg has never experienced this kind of excitement from her son before.
Kevin put her mother on his back and swum along with her. The treatment he gave her out of excitement made Meg beg, smiling shyly as she enjoyed the drive.
"Come on son, stop it!"
Showering her with gratitude, Kevin jumped and flipping his body like an acrobatic all over the place, inside the rocky ancient cave.
"I love you so much mom,"
However, what Kevin didn't know, the human world out there was a very complicated puzzle to solve.
Excitedly, he flattered:
"When I bring father back home, don't ask him why he never returned to see you. Just giving him the warmest hug of his life and be happy together."
He couldn't stop building castles in the air.
With Meg's unwavering parental love, she held in Kevin's palms and passionately said in wary with a little smile:
"For all the years I've lived, you've been my only treasure. I cherish you and, I don't regret that little time I spent with your father Sean Moore. Make sure you return home safely for me.... son!"
Affectionately, nearly tearing, she hugged her son and both smiled their approval.
CAPRICON CITY (SLUM SIDE):
In the slums of a city named Capricon, in the twilight between full night and sunrise, a young lady named Pinky together with her father Jonathan found themselves on the waterfront working hand in hand, picking fresh fish from fishnets where it was stuck while they put it into a boat. In heavy jackets, Pinky and Jonathan covered their bodies to protect from very cold early morning weather amidst working tirelessly.
Jonathan was a fisherman who casted his nets in the night and came back very early in the morning before twilight to collect the catch. Usually, his daughter Pinky accompanied him to the waterfront. Her main job was to collect fish from her father and sell it at a retail price down at the local market.
As a poor family of four members namely Jonathan, her daughter Pinky, Jonathan's aunt and Jonathan's mother, this is how they survived in the slums on their hand to mouth fish business.
One fateful morning, a wave crushed on the waterfront with Kevin Moore in a full human form and left him laying down unconscious without a single cloth on his body.
As their daily routine, Pinky and Jonathan were busy at the waterfront sorting their catch. When Pinky stood up straight from over bending to stretch her back, her eyes accidentally saw a human body laying at the waterfront, just a few metres from where they had stationed their boat.
Frightened, Pinky called Jonathan who was squatting in the boat, busy picking fish from the nets.
"Dad!"
So focused on work, Johnathan said to Pinky with a purposeful attitude.
"let's try to be fast... you wouldn't wish to miss morning customers at the market."
Pinky anxiously pointed a finger:
"Dad, look! There's a dead body right at the storefront!" .
Jonathan startled, standing up straight with a look so curious on his face.
"Dead what?!"
Jonathan lifted his eyes and looked directly to where Pinky had her finger pointing. In a little distance, he saw the body which laid on the shore sand, having no cloth cover on.
Without a second thought, he dropped down a tilapia he had in his hand and jumped out of the boat. Pinky, whose face was frowned with fright, followed after her father upto where the body was.
The victim was non other than Kevin Moore, laying unconsciously on his stomach. And usually, whenever he was not in water, he happened to be in a human form without a fish tail.
Snoopily, Pinky asked while she peeped from behind her father's back.
"Is he still alive?"
Carefully, Jonathan bent on his marks and gently put two fingers near Kevin's nose to check if he was still breathing, then checked his pulse from the neck vein like a doctor.
And in a short while, he said worriedly to his daughter.
"he might be dead,"
The desire to handle this unplanned detour bemused Jonathan. Uncertainly, as he was still confused about what to do about the strange man's body, a water wave crushed at the shore and pored some of its water on Kevin Moore, a stranger in Jonathan's eyes.
His skin flashed glitters. And by the moment this happens, Jonathan was lost in thoughts, facing away. However, Pinky was looking at the stranger keenly when the skin flashed glitters. This caught her attention more. And now, suddenly, the stranger's mouth which was surrounded by a very thick beard opened and closed instantly.
Pinky stuttered anxiously.
"T The man is alive dad!"
Jonathan exclaimed unbelievably:
"What?"
On quick brains, Jonathan took off his Jacket so fast and covered Kevin's nakedness. On the side, right next to Kevin Moore was an old version computer which he and his mother, in their water world, termed as an 'object' since they didn't know what it really was.
Woefully unprepared, Jonathan had to take on the responsibility of helping the stranger.
A few hours later, inside a ramshackled small house in the ghetto, Kevin Moore slowly open his eye from deep sleep on a small bed. Back to his senses, he realised he was in a strange place and suddenly jumped off the bed.
Anxious to analyse the situation face, he gave a strange look at the clothes covering his body. To him clothes were an odd thing that made him uncomfortable.
He growled, grabbing the long sleeved shirt and teared it off his chest.
"Get off me..!"
The pair of shorts couldn't tear off easily when he pulled them. As he was still working aggressively to get rid of them, suddenly he felt dizzy. His feet lost stamina and eventually he fell down on the floor.
In a small firewood kitchen outside, a grown-up woman, Pinky's grandaunt, was busy blowing air from her mouth into the fire for the medicine soup to cook fast. By the time she chocked and coughed, the soup was also ready to be served. Quicly, she poured a small potion into a small bowl and carefully walked with it inside house to serve the patient who was left under her care.
Carefully, she took sandals off her feet by the house entrance and walked towards the room to meet kevin, a stranger unknown to the family at the moment. When grandaunt pushed the door open, she was welcomed by a magical blue flame with strong sparks of thunder which covered the whole room, blazing out of kevin Moore's muscles.
Grandaunt's eyes grew wide startledly and the soup bowl slipped out of her hands. Down to the floor it fell and broke into pieces, scattering the whole medicine soup. As the grown-up woman stepped backwards in fear to run, she stepped in poured soup and slipped down on a wet floor. In panick and fright, she crawled to flee but kept sliding back down.
Suddenly, the blue flame disappeared from Kevin's body, and the condition stabilized. It all happened when Pinky's grandaunt had her eyes widely open in fright.
On his feet, strong and sound, Kevin Moore stood up.
What grandaunt experience was so shocking to her. She had never experienced it for,all the years she has lived. She couldn't take it any more and decided to faint.
Down on the floor, as she pretended to have passed out, Kevin began to take small steps forward, coming in her direction. Partially she opened one eye to see what the stranger was all about and to her shock, the stranger was walking in her direction. Too scared, she panicked off her back, rushed and picked a table spoon on the side which was meant to serve the poured soup earlier.
"D D Don't try to come near me!"
Stuttering scaredly, she pointed the spoon at him as a weapon.
But Kevin Moore's attention was on broken scattered bowl pieces, not even minding the grown-up woman down on the floor. Around the house, Kevin moved his eyes eagerly. To him everything was new to his eyes, a unique set up from what he grew up seeing. More so the framed family pictures which hanged on the wall pulled much of his attention.
As an artist, he couldn't stop looking at them.
As he drew closer in grandaunt's direction, fearfully grandaunt closed her eyes. Heart pounding anxiously in expectation of the worst-case scenario like assult and rape to happen to her, grandaunt began to scream.
Abruptly Pinky showed up, walking into the house with a basket in hand containing green vegetables and three fish.
"Grandaunt!"
She stepped closer real quick. Puzzledly, she looked at the stranger Kevin walking towards grandaunt who was laying down on the floor.
Qickly Pinky placed her basket down and assisted her grandaunt to sit, off her back.
"What's going on... are you alright?"
On a sweaty face, panting anxiously, grandaunt barked:
