Chapter 486 - Where the Truth Finally Cuts Deep

Lily's face turned pale, her pretty eyes no longer hide her anger.

Dylan held on to the door frame so that Lily would not slam the door shut. He lowered his gaze toward the woman who was one head shorter than him - her eyes were bright, her red lips contrasted with her white teeth, and her slightly messy bed hair made her look all the more cuter.

He knew that Lily meant to reject his offer when she said that she would move the suitcases herself.

However, all he could do was act dumb as he had no experience coaxing a woman, not even a bit.

That whole situation where Lily was blocking the doorway reminded him of one particular stray cat back in the army - it was a pretty cat with the foulest temper. If one were to walk past without petting it, it would meow angrily.

Dylan remembered petting the cat once. Almost instantly, it stopped meowing and followed him to the cafeteria. It even tried to eat the meat in his bowl.
