Third person POV
While Yuichiro was in agony in the desolate room, outside, shortly after getting off in the park outside of the city hall from Basuki's helicopter, Mikaela was stopped by Aiko. Still, Mikaela pins her to the ground, asking questions about Yuichiro. Basuki remains behind just in case Aiko would be suspicious of him being with Mikaela.
After giving info to Mikaela that Guren and his IDA squad are heading to the City Hall to confront Crowley, Aiko stopped playing dead, and she holds a knife to Mika's throat, telling the other vampires, including Lacus and René, not to move, or she threatens to kill Mika if they do. Lacus, René, and the other vampires had no choice.
Seeing that, Basuki and Kawah had no idea what to do in this situation, but Yeager, seeing that in his tracker, said to Basuki, "Make sure that the IDA soldier doesn't harm Mikaela-kun. Neutralize the soldier and ensure the safety of Mikaela."
Because of that, Basuki complied, and Kawah boosted his powers.
Basuki neutralizes Aiko without harming her, and Mikaela gave a nod of thankfulness for his RSA allies. "Thanks for that."
Seeing how Basuki was defending Mikaela, Aiko has risen to her feet and drawn her cursed gear bow. Coming to a poorly accurate conclusion that the RSA was siding with Mikaela (not really true), Aiko hissed at them, "You Red Scarlet Army had sided with the bloodsucking, livestock eaters!!!"
"Woah, ma'am, it's not what it looked like!" Basuki tried to reason with her, yet Aiko refused to listen.
Aiko fires a shot past Mika's head. The temperature around them had dropped to frigid, like the snowy Finnish plains. Basuki was pissed, and Mika turns, draws his sword and sends a lethal wave of energy, powered by Saya's sapphire blue mountain aura from Atsushi's blood, through Aiko, and as she falls, Aiko thanks him in her final breath. "I'm sorry…" she added in a whispered tone before she succumbed to her fate.
But, Yeager sees that and sends out an order to retrieve Aiko's body and take her to the main headquarters in Yokohama to be treated. His intention was to provide another chance for her, as well as the spirit of a human, a mother, who had died in the Great Collapse, awaiting a potential vessel for her (the IDA will get a stroke, metaphorically, if they saw that, yet Yeager wasn't into experiments; he lets the spirits choose their vessels out of free will).
With that, Basuki, Kawah, and Mikaela had a chat with Lacus, René, and the other five vampires. René complimented Basuki's move for Mikaela, and Basuki asserted that he was just following Yeager's orders and that Mikaela was their ally.
"Also," René added, "I am basically tired of the politics in the Vampire Council. I was thinking of establishing my own friendly domain outside of Nagoya. Osaka City would be a good choice for me…"
"Ah, I see," Kawah responded.
"Let's go to the City Hall, guys," Mikaela said to them abruptly. "Yu-chan and Atsushi-kun are awaiting…"
And so, all of them sprinted to the City Hall.
